Osvaldo's way of greeting new team-mates is to apparently ask who lifts the most, then proceed to challenge that individual to a fist fight

He swings with his left,
He swings with his right,
Dani Osvaldo,
Is up for the fight.

Proud

If Osvaldo is able to win a starting spot somehow then it will guarantee his spot at the World Cup, however he could equally find himself used sparingly. Given Prandelli's willingness to take even Juventus bench players along however and the potential to further improve his chemistry with the likes of Marchisio and Pirlo and to work under Conte, this is a move with a lot of upside for Dani. It doesn't really address a critical need of Juventus however.

Juve 6 forwards ( Tevez Llorente Vucinic Quagliarella Osvaldo Giovinco) , Inter 3 ( Palacio , Icardi, Milito) Proud

in this January Juve has tried to sign an important alternative, no someone as Padoin, they were close to buy Guarin and now Osvaldo

Another sign that they will do anything to reach the double Scudetto-Europa League, it won't be snubbed

http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/calciomercato/cellino-set-to-acquire-leeds-cagliari-pursuing-julio-cesar-and-viviano/

Leeds United is about to have an Italian owner. Cagliari’s president Cellino is currently in London and the signatures to close the deal are about to be made. The only thing missing is the approval of one of the partners. Cellino has big plans for Leeds, who will start over with some important names.

Cellino’s Italian club Cagliari has been in contact with QPR goal keeper Julio Cesar, who has also recently spoken to Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. Should the deal for the Brazilian goal keeper not go through, the other option for Cagliari is Emiliano Viviano currently at Arsenal. Leeds will start over with Cellino while Cagliari looks for a goal keeper.

The our hero Cellino

What is the first thing does he do ? Of course sacked coach Laughing
He never contradicts himself
Leeds fan are furious and he needed a police escort to leave the stadium
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leeds-united-protest-police-called-3100345

I think we will understand soon England is not Italy and Leeds is not Cagliari

I don't know if he will keep also Cagliari .

Some rumours report Moratti could buy Cagliari (after selling his 30% of Inter) retracing roughly his father's footsteps that in 1968 sold Inter to Fraizzoli and then in 1970 he contribuited economically to historical Scudetto of Cagliari . Laughing

Quality wise,i would say Inter. The Hernanes signing alone makes up for a lot of it plus the fact that they managed to keep Guarin is an added incentive. The midfield does look good now with an established playmaker like Hernanes in there.

Taking all other aspects into account(including money-wise and in terms of selling) ,i would say Roma.Got a quality midfielder in Nainggolan for a relatively lesser price and a rated defender from Brazil in Toloi(who Italian teams have been keeping tabs on since the last few yrs),managed to offload scrubs like Burdisso and Marquinho, and did a no.of impressive youth deals as well.

I think we achieved each of our goals in this mercato, something no Romanista has seen in quite a few years. S summed it up quite well as we filled all of the gaps in our squad as well as offloading the deadwood. Berisha will go straight to the Primavera while both Sanabria and Paredes have been loaned out to Sassuolo and Chievo respectively. Quite a few Serie A fans will have their eyes on both players to see if they are worth the hype.

I just wish we had secured more loan deals for the younger players though like Romagnoli and/or Jedvaj as the signing of Toloi will mean that both will get less minutes than they already were getting. I did find it very interesting that we literally refused to loan out Federico Ricci though. I've only seen him play a few times and he indeed looks a special player.

Outside of Roma, I also agree that Inter had the best mercato. I would say Milan, but they didn't address any of their defensive problems.

This derby d'Italia sounds as David vs Goliath now.
We are even in a bad moment, Guarin,Hernanes,Cambiasso ( Yuto Nagatomo as captain LaughingProud) aren't available for match as if that were not enough the initial potential difference .... I prefer not think at this night...

Yes he was close to join for Milan when you had Leonardo as coach . He wanted him ardently
and a year later,in 2010,he was very close to Inter, we had pratically bought him but after Epic Fail World Cup 2010 FIGC had the brillant idea to change rules about non-EU players and you could ration only one of them. And we had already rationed Philippe Coutinho from Vasco de Gama

Hernanes was definitely the best transfer in Serie A in this winter mercato, beast of a player. Problably the only player I liked at Lazio. Huge boost for the Inter midfield.

http://www.therichest.com/sports/soccer-sports/the-10-most-expensive-january-transfers-in-serie-a-history/

This list tells you exactly why Juventus is the most successful team in Italy (apart from buying the refs...i kid i kid). This list is dominated by expensive flops and Juve is not in a single on of them.

ps: list is from last year.

Mazzari might be getting the boot soon, something i have mixed feelings about. If we replace him with a world class manager then by all means, but if he's making way for another Gasparini then id rather stick with him, even if he's bitching and moaning week in week out..

Thohir wants a manager with a modern approach and someone who doesn't fear installing young players in our first team.I think it could be Frank De Boer,he fits the description and has been linked to us since before Thohir's official buyout.
