You don't need high specs if you just want to browse & watch movies.

Never heard of mini pc till now. Just searched it up and it has around the same prices as laptops & specs over here.

Don't know a lot about Mini PCs but if it would be EXACTLY the same specs then I guess so.
However just because both CPUs are called i7 for example doesn't mean they are the same.

As RG said get a PC.

Gonna go with an i7 just to be on the safe side. My current laptop has an i5 processor and I always like to get a better version than before whenever I buy a new PC/laptop.

The processor I'm looking at is an i7 quad core 6700 3.4 GHz. Custom built PC.

An i7 isn't automatically better than an i5.
The problem is that Intel produce i7 chips since 2008(!). Obviously they released tons of new chips but they are all called i7. They all have a number that comes afterwards which helps you to distinguish them like "Core i7-920".
Right now we're heading into the 7th generation of i7 and i5 chips already. If you want something really good and new you should go for one from the 6th generation (all chips from that generation are called "skylake") or wait for the 7th generation (kaby lake) though it's probably way more than you need.

Anyway I think the best would be to just send us a link of the offer or tell us your budget.

Yeh gonna go with a 6th gen. My current one is an i5 second gen, got the laptop like 5 years ago.

Ok so had a new laptop for a few months, nothing amazing but it gets the job done. No complaints about it initially but now clearly windows 10 is *bleep* around with me.

The task toolbar at the bottom no longer goes away when you enter full screen which is a pain in the ass and half the time I have to minimise and maximise a window to get the mini window to go away.

Just went to confirm this for myself loaded 3 youtube videos, a video streaming site and a photo and yeah it doesn't go away. The toolbar in general seems pretty shit actually compared to recently when it was smooth.

Computer's being a dick now clearly somehow got a virus i'll sort that out and see if the toolbar problem persists.

Any decent free anti virus you personally know kicking about? Want a 2nd opinion if malwarebytes picks nothing up. Computer's slowing now that the windows defender thing came up.

I am not sure it's a virus. But might as well scan. Malwarebytes is one of the good ones but as a 2nd option, try Avira Antivirus.
