He is easily one of Germany's top 3 or 4 CB's along with Hummels, Mertesacker and an uninjured Badstuber. I really like the guy and a few years back I really wanted Bayern to get him.

I hope that Holger Badstuber will return to proper health in due time. I read he is currently in the US and will have more surgery on his knee in the end of September. It is such a shame that he got injured that badly as normally he would have been very high in the top list of Germany defenders.
