Quality players survives every where..nothing to do with Leagues. But players who have only played in one league whole his playing career do tend to struggle in the first year.

All this talk about league to league flops and tops are bull.

I cant blame Mourinho, players like Ozil and Mata who suck at defending are a problem in modern footy. Teams that win and dominate at a european level have players that are involved at both end of the pitch, at every position. If you have guys who are unwilling or incapable of defending, then move them. He wont be missed at Chelsea if he goes imo.

Exactly in the UCL but not in leagues.

Which is why i think mou might be planning to use willain ahead of Mata in CL crucial matches.

No they wouldnt. I see this chelsea team as a side that will keep growing a great deal, and players like Hazard and De Bruyne will become key for Mourinho. If he is able to sign a proper CF, then i dont think Mata will be that needed moving forward.

I wouldnt be shocked if Mata gets canned, but i am pretty certain that chelsea will get better as a result.

I never understand how getting rid of your best player and replacing him with another less proven player is a great step forward.

He's not old

He's not demanding a team is built around him

He's not got a big ego

He's not selfish

It's not like the Bale scenario where his sale lets them re-build half a team. It's just Mata out, Willian in.

like i said, it's all about what the manager is willing to do with his team. We ONLY look at players, specially attacking ones, in terms of their attacking potential. We never think about how well they work off the ball yet it matters incredibly. You can try to build a team with specialists, guys that only defend and guys that only attack, but you are not gonna win anything.

Looking to build a side where all players are willing to sacrifice on both ends, even if that means selling one of your top players is not an heresy to me. it serves a greater purpose long term.
