The report comes from Sky's transfer rumours feed. I believe the actual quote was something more along the lines of "Sky Sports is hearing reports that Aly Cissokho has completed a loan move to Liverpool" so even they aren't providing the original sources or saying it is actually completed.

my flat mate is a Granada season ticket holder, and he is dancing with joy now that Sequeira is staying (until Madrid sell Coentrao and buy him as back up to Marcelo).

my main man Siqueira is very good but he aint better than those guys. I am pleased we finally saw his quality, i wish there was a right back version of him so we could get rid of Crapbeloa as well.

I think Siqueira turned pool down because he knows the Madrid move will happen.

Jose always takes 3-4 touches to make up his mind what he wants to do. That's very detrimental to the offensive play. That's the main reason that he never gets call up for Spain NT.

well, I guess we should hope we can help Cissokho regain his Porto form.

Schalke are supposed to have agree personal terms with the winger already, and now it depends on Schalke reaching the CL group stage to be able to pay Basel's 6 mio Euros evaluation for him. (Don't laugh - Schalke are still in the red from Magath's former spending spree, so they can't shell out high transfer fees however they like).

The reports are saying that the deal fell through because Granada more than doubled the asking price once the RM rumors started circulating, so I guess Liverpool called their bluff and just went straight to Cissokho instead.

Also, the LB rumors are just to provide competition. We're not looking for a straight back-up, but somebody who can spell Enrique when he has his inevitable stretches of poor form and somebody who will push him harder to maintain his starting spot. If he ends up losing his starting spot to that person too, then all the better for competition in the team.
