Want to bring up a mini-debate on here..

So Fiorentina who finished 4th last season are forced to play a qualifier but Lazio a cup-winner gets direct entry into EL group stages.Is it justifiable ?

I guess that comes from the fact that the Cup Winners' Cup is one of the roots of the EL, so it is at least somewhat logical.

Well, seeing the CL Group Basel ended in, it is very likely that they will end up in the EL after the CL group stage. Then expect more esprit from my side Very Happy

Naw. This was Stuttgart. They weren't in the EL quali on real merit (ended up 12th in the BL and only lucked out as they were losing against Bayern in the DFB-Pokal), so no one really expected anything from them.
