Yeah ok... Bale played AM and LW. Even LB earlier in his career. He's rarely ever played on the right.

Why would you pay the ridiculous §0+ mil fee to play him out of position? Exactly like Coentrao. We tried to make him a DM in preseason Laughing

Carlo's system would fail miserably without a CF. Bale doesn't make those runs. I don't care if it's Benz or someone else... you can't have everyone make runs from the perimeter. You need a guy who occupies the CBs.

Also, this is what Marquinhos' agent, Roberto Calenda, had to say about the transfer rumors -

“No negotiations between me and the player with other clubs, he will stay at AS Roma,” he said to Sky Sport.“AS Roma refused every offer and did not authorize us to talk with other clubs.“We are talking of a talented guy with great qualities, it is normal that we talk about teams interested in him, but the actual situation is that we have a contract with AS Roma and there are no negotiations, this is the truth.”

If I'm a player of Roma, i stick with Roma... i am a huge fan of Rudi Garcia. I thought PSG or Monaco should have hired him but Leonardo has a fetish for Serie A and Italian managers. Monaco did the right thing and stuck with their word to Ranieri that he will get a crack...

Also, the Daily Mirror are reporting that De Rossi has agreed personal terms with Chelsea. Roma want Wallace on loan to be included as part of the deal, but Chelsea are unwilling to let him go.

Dinamo Zagreb sporting director Zoran Mamic has confirmed that the club have agreed to a deal with Roma for young defender Tin Jedvaj. The youngster is in Rome and has already passed his medical, but the clubs are awaiting FIFA authorization before he can join his new teammates. No details on the specifics of the deal.

Mehdi Benatia has also passed his medical and only awaits a date to be officially presented - Romanews.us

And the Kevin Strootman deal is still being discussed by Roma and PSV, according club director Marcel Brands via Gianluca Di Marzio. Details such as bonuses are thought to be the topics of discussions.

Di Marzio also reports that Roma are still pursuing Maicon.

It's interesting considering that reports are out that Thiago Silva's agent rubbished rumors of an agreement with Barca. And now there's news that Roma signed Jedvaj, who could be possibly be a competitor for 'Hos as well. I personally think signing him hinders Romagnoli's development though, but this could be moot if we get rid of Burdisso and/or Castan (not a fan of that idea tbh).
