Trust me, its phenomenal
The setting, the ambience, the environments everything is top notch
Even the gameplay is kinda addicting
And the characters are so rich, and the story so amazing. Definitely a contender for GOTY

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
Just got done reading from page 40
To me just looking at what was said there is no doubt Sony destroyed Microsoft in many ways and probably for a lot of people. However I have to side with Moal where maybe the problems presented with the XB1 are troublesome for other people, but for me...they aren't at all.
I also side with Moal in that the games are most important to me.
That being said I'm not making a decision on either one as I won't get either for a while and when the time comes to do that, I will THEN evaluate the games and all that matters to me and make a decision.
I don't always agree with Moal, but here I'm pretty much in full agreement.

Just said you have to buy PS plus to play online which is 5 dollars a month.
So no more free online for anyone.

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
I won't have a problem with it since i can afford it. But many people can't. I guess they are trying to cover up the cheap console price this way but wish they hadn't
Although this was coming for a long long time.

Meh.
About the same i think, i paid 30 quid for my last 12 month membership.
Of course that is if Microsoft don't increase the price.

I've got no problems paying for online, since I've been doing it all generation with xbox live, and you actually get decent games every month via PS+. It's only an upgrade for me.
I've seen a lot of current playstation users complaining online though

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
Thing is that many of us don't really do anything on PS plus. My brother got me a years subscription and i didn't even remember i had one. There are games and movies and music to download but i rather use PC for that.

RG it was always going to happen at some point tbf.
Microsoft make billions through subscription fees, Sony can't afford as a business to lose out on that amount of money.

Yea it was long time coming.
They were very close to doing it with the PS3 but kept delaying it. PS4 gives them the right opportunity.

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
BTW he also mentioned something on used games DRM....
Said that its up to the 3rd parties to do what they want to do.
So basically if EA and Activision wanted to, they could blocked used games on PS4 and Xbox One.
Doubt they would but they have the power to do so.

doubt they would?
of course they would
Activision, EA, Ubisoft, etc have been pushing for it the whole time apparently.
I dunno, I heard about this before and I think that Sony would have said something if that's true, I'd expect most publishers to implement DRM if they had the choice

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
I think the rumours that Sony were planning on DRM used games but changed their minds due to the public backlash are true
EA announced they were ending their online pass requirements for used games, only way that would happen is if they thought used games were going to be controlled now, those money grabbers never pass up an opportunity to squeeze a penny out of you

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
Sony did say something, the president/CEO of Sony no less
I'll get the video when its up on the main site.
Basically their own Sony published titles you can trade in ( same as Microsoft) but the 3rd parties can decide what they want to do.
So we are at the will of EA

doesnt matter now Mole, Sony created the shockwave they wanted, and game publishers are not going to do that imo

Of course not, just spreading the word.
Microsoft's policy is the same btw, they have no used game DRM themselves but said they will leave it up to the 3rd parties.
They obviously f*cked up with always online though.

Michael Pachter is talking about internet subsidies that might give you money towards the purchase of an xbox (or sell it for like 199 or 299) if you buy an internet contract with them.

Re: Electronic Entertainment Expo 2013 - Part 2
I am 100% with Mole on the console's so far
Xbox One's issues for some people, Internet Connection all the time, and no used games are not issues for me, my console is always plugged into the internet and I bought maybe 2 used games the whole time i have owned a 360.
it's all about the games for me, and xbox's titles have captured my interest more then the PS4 so far.
if the consoles came out tomorrow, I would be buying a Xbox One
but sony has time to show off more games before i have to make that decision but as of right now I am buying a Xbox One.
you are not alone Mole!
