Obogna will be Juventus player next week !
And 'now in the pipeline passing Angelo Ogbonna from Torino Juventus. In recent days, the two companies have reached an agreement in principle and next week will meet to put pen to paper. For the grenade will be half of the tag striker Ciro Immobile and the Swiss defender Reto Ziegler, returning from loan at Fenerbahce in addition to a cash budget for a comprehensive evaluation of 12 million euro. The today's edition of "Tuttosport" makes known the terms of the agreement between Ogbonna and Juventus: Bianconeri defender will sign with a four-year 1.8 million euro net per season.

Juve-Ogbonna in the final stages. This as reported by Corriere dello Sport, which reveals the background of the negotiations for landing at Vinovo the 25 year-old defender grenade. At the club of Cairo will be € 10 million cash, plus the tag dell'elevetico Ziegler and half of property. For Ogbonna, however, would be ready a four-year contract 1.7 million per season plus bonuses. The deal could be officially announced as early as next week.

He is not a direct Barzagli replacement.
Left footed CB who can play the ball out from the back.He'll get a lot of games here im sure.
I could see us fielding Bonucci-Ogbonna-Chiello OR Barzagli-Bonucci-Ogs.Mainly in rotation with barza and chiello.

if this is true, that sounds rather exxy (that's a good 15-20m all up) for someone who isn't good enough to make the confed cup squad.
Whilst it's good to have a Chiellini backup, he's:
a) too good to sit on the bench;
b) not really required when we have Caceres + Marrone as backups. Given that both struggled for playing time this season until Chiellini was injured (and also when the title was won), we could have 3 quality CBs sitting around on the bench. Plus Masi if he develops should be a perfect Barza replacement in 2-3 years time.
it's been covered previously, but imho, just spend whatever money we have on a) a LWB, b) a SS, c) a vice-Pirlo in THAT order. Strengthening one of our strongest positions is just a waste of our limited resources and won't get us anywhere. Strengthening attack and LWB on the other hand should allow us to challenge Bayern, Barca, Real, Dortmund etc

Re: Obogna will be Juventus player next week !
Juventus will resume talks with Torino on Tuesday in an effort to sign Angelo Ogbonna, claims the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Old Lady are reportedly in pole position for the centre-back and a deal could be finalised by the end of this week.
Juventus are keen on offering players and cash for the 25-year-old and the Granata seem ready to accept such a deal.
There are two possible offers which Juve are working on. The first is a €10m offer, as well as a 50 per cent share in Ciro Immobile. The latter spent 2012-13 at Genoa.
The second option is offering €6m, half of Immobile and the co-ownership of left-back Paolo De Ceglie or the full ownership of Reto Ziegler.

I feel pretty confident that, in the long run, Ogbonna is going to be a much better CB than either Marrone or Caceres. He may even be a better option right now. Marrone's future isn't at CB. He is likely to be used in a deal for another player, sold, or else he will be loaned out to a team where he can play as a CM. Caceres is an ok backup option, but I don't rate him that high. Even with Caceres, that really only leaves us with one back up at CB if Marrone leaves. Ogbonna is needed. We have been very lucky in the past two years to avoid major injuries on our back line especially when you consider how little we rotate Chiellini, Barzagli, and Bonucci. Ogbonna is needed. CB isn't number on our list of needs, but it's a need.
