English youngsters in PL and Future of England NT
Data received by BBC Sport shows that just 35 English under-21 players featured in the Premier League last season, the lowest since 2005.
Since then, the use of under-21 players in the top division has fallen from the highest of the big five European leagues at 10.33% to the lowest of the big five, at 4.45%. Manchester City, Chelsea, Swansea, Stoke and Wigan failed to field an English under-21 player all season while Arsenal played the highest percentage of English youngsters.
Could be reason the why England NT future looking so grime. The FA need to allow for the reserve teams to play in the lower divisions like in Spain.

An then we end up with an uncompetitive amateur league system like Spain.
League system is fine. Massive changes have already been made to the academy systems, just need to give them time so the results filer through.

Chelsea have a few English youngsters who will be future first teamers IMO.
Chalobah being the crown jewel, he was a key part of Watford last season and I very much expect him to play in the EPL next season.

Kick is right. Chelsea have one of the best youth team in the world.
However they will most likely be the 1st team players for other clubs rather than Chelsea.

Do you mean that Chelsea produce best youths in England or are you counting the players like De bruyne, wesly bruma, Kurtois,Kalas...etc who they brought from great academies over the world.? I dont even think the later players should be considered as chelsea youth.
Re: English youngsters in PL and Future of England NT
You do know those lower League clubs have decades of history and incredible support behind them right?
And although Kick is being incredibly naive. Our academy is arguably the best in the World at the moment but most of those kids will be playing for Top Clubs elsewhere not Chelsea.

Re: English youngsters in PL and Future of England NT
Nothing to do it, most of the youngsters are not good enough and just overhyped trash.
If they were good enough they would make it a big club but they don't because they are meh.
A lot of it is due to the lack of quality coaches at grass root levels but meh.

Italy does have a great talent pool.
Verrati, De Sciglio, Santon, Balo, SES, Insigne, Florenzi, Perin, Destro, Borini, Poli, Leali, and Saponara.
These are some of the great young players that have come from Italy over the past 2-3 years. Bar Balo.

Well, I usspose... the f**k? Suppose that this is the downside of having the richest league in the world, it's easier to buy better players rather than throw your youngsters on and let them develop.

Dunno how considering the new system was only implemented this season.
Its not just changes to the actual reserve leagues they have made, its the way the academies function and work.
One of the biggest things was getting rid of the stupid 90 minute rule, where they drew a circle around the location of the academy and said you cant sign players from outside this area. In Sunderland's case it meant 70% of our recruitment area was the north sea.
With the academy category ratings teams have more of a responsibility to produce talent or they will be downgraded and lose out financially as well as losing out on players to other clubs.
The whole thing was very amateurish compared to other countries, but EEEP brings a much higher level of professionalism & standardization.
