I'm reading these predictions and I can't help but laugh at them. So much more surprising shit is going go down, it's unreal.

I'm completely opposite. I have gotten everybody close to me to watch this. It's been like 16 hours I'm still getting shocking texts.

I believe this is the first time I'm commenting on this show and the only reason is because I want to know something. I haven't read the books and I'm not planning to.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
Wonderful episode. Quite well done to be honest, but they missed some opportunities that made this scene one of the most powerful things I've ever read in my life. Fairley will get her Emmy nod for this episode. Make no bones about that. And it would be thoroughly deserved.
As someone who read this scene like 2 years ago...that shit haunted me for months. The show's scene will likely not do the same as it's not up to the levels of epicness of the book. None the less, I'm not at all surprised that the reaction on social media has been utter chaos.

Also,
- Spoiler:
- Talisa had to go tbh.
She represented everything the Freys could've had if Robb had simply kept his promise and represents a reminder to Walder that his family is simply not mighty enough to be taken seriously even by upstart kings. That betrayal cut deep and there was no way he would ever let any of them out alive. As sad as Talisa's death was. It had to go down.

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
On a serious note, I think what made the television show more disturbing than the book is while the show lacks the depth of the book, when you watch a television show you can't speed up through the parts that make you uneasy or come back to them later. You are at the mercy of the director and you just have to sit there and watch.
Not happy with all the changes, but it was fairly well done, but not nearly as powerful as it was in the books. A large part of this could also be due to the fact that when you read the book it happens in the middle of the book and goes against every bit of a readers intuition that a point of view character would be safe at least until the end of the book like Ned, but not good ole GRRM.

El Shaarawy wrote:BarrileteCosmico wrote:I guess we can now talk about differences with how it played out in the books?
I'll spoiler tag this but it has no future spoilers, so non-book readers shouldn't be afraid to click unless they plan to read book 3
- Spoiler:
-In the books they make it a point that as soon as someone eats the bread and salt of a house they are now protected by religion. Should any harm reach the guests the seven gods will curse them. So Robb & Co understandably felt very safe as breaking this would be considered a major taboo.
- Robb's wife does not go with him to the wedding
- Grey Wind breaks free and manages to kill a number of Freys before being killed himself
- Throughout the books we get to know and like Robb's bannermen, such as the Umbers, Mormont's sister, the Manderlys, etc whereas they weren't really developed in the series. So even more people we liked died.
- We see part of it from Arya's perspective and the chapter ends with her getting wacked in the face and going black, we don't know whether she lives or dies.
Anything I missed?
Wait, so Robb's wife lives through this? If so then why change it?
And thanks for enlightening on the bread and salt aspect, didn't really understand it
In the books she wasn't even at the wedding, she stayed behind at Riverrun. She was an entirely different character - daughter of a lord in the west (one of the Lannister's bannermen)
Spoiler book 4/5 (can't remember which), but not a show spoiler:
- Spoiler:
- it actually comes out later on that Tywin orchestrated the whole thing through Robb's mother-in-law. It's unclear whether or not Jeyne (Robb's wife) knew anything about it, although seems to imply that she didn't, but her mother set her up so that she'd sleep with/marry Robb and cause the downfall in exchange for a reward from Tywin

I had to google who tf Talisa was, somehow I totally missed the Talisa/Jeyne Westerling swap, but anyway her death was probably for the best
Largely puts to bed a lot of the loose ends and theories relating to her pre and post-wedding, and this way the show doesn't have to waste any more time on a storyline that isn't going anywhere

Re: Game of Thrones - Part 2
**No book spoilers
Lannisters always pay their debts , they even sent their regards this time
I was reading Storm of Swords a couple of weeks ago ; many characters had their plots well under way , i thought i knew something was coming before the wedding ; there where some tiny hints but nothing really concrete or enlightening , yet by any means possible i couldn't see this massacre and such a twist coming up . Mind totaly blown , on and off the screen.
Now that i saw the Red Wedding in the series , ffs. Perfect. Unmatchable. Unforgettable. My only issue was with the "Rains of Castamere" . It was simply groundbreaking in the book , i think it's a shame the singers didn't even sing it. Having heard the song already and replaying it in my head , made the massacre even more creapy ; it was pure horror blended with pain , desperation and pure vengence and all that become very clear once Roose Bolton gets to talk. Tbh i was deceived a bit we didn't get to hear more Rains of Castamere , although all the scenes being so well done after the door gets closed were just perfect and anyway ,i forgot about it too soon lol.. Robb's reaction was too perfect for words , strong acting. Frey the wicked c*** , even though i always been with the Lannisters i wish he finds the worst death possible. Bolton , man that dude who plays him , is just magnifiscent. Bolton , you chose sides well
Very , very strong episode . You want to talk about the rest of it but the Red Wedding is haunting , everything else seemed so pointless after the episode ended. Can't wait for the finale , although i can already imagine how they will finish this season.............. Left the best for the end . Catelyn died finaly Couldn't wait to witness it , i already saw the ending twice more to be sure it was that perfect
Here , enjoy Stark fans
Hear me Roar!
Rains of Castamere
P.S Just for the lulz , i paused the episode at 45.30 , then started them both simultaneously. It was exactly like i imagined it in the books . It also ends perfectly lol
10/10 episode.

I immediately realised she was going to die after i saw her in the wedding. In the book is well mentioned that Jeyne wouldn't join the wedding because it would be yet another disgrace at Walder Frey . It was a nice change btw , done very well and imo , it added a lot to the scenes. They handled her character very well indeed , though i still can't tell why they didn't involve the main character , Jeyne Westerling not a single reason i can think of

Is he trolling ? Can't be that he's serious lol. How can he not remember stuff like that? Lol he's lying for some reason , it's obvious. You can't possibly write a book like that and not instantly remember what happens to the main characters , doesn't matter how many years have passed.
