Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
no we will, there is no way Carlo or any coach for that matter will come into madrid to rely solely on Benzema at CF. it's not happening. pressure to win is extremely high, and benzema is not the most driven forward you will find in footy.Zealous wrote:Madrid won't sign a star striker. It's clear Benzema is going to be given starter status next season.
I am pretty sure that we will make a move for someone, Suarez is in a good situation because there arent many elite CF options out there. Cavani is too expensive, Falcao is gone, Ibra is not moving, RVP not moving, Kun renewed, Lewandowski only want Bayern (for now), Gomez is lol etc... rest like Jackson and so on are noobs. the list trims down to Rooney and Suarez. Suarez and his agent are making sure that we know they are out there.

I'm glad for him. He will have more chances and less pressure at Juve

50m + Higgy and you can have Luis Suarez.
On a serious note, Suarez will go for more than Cavani lol. And Rooney is off to PSG.

Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
I wasn't really asking if Higuain had made any comments about favoring a specific destination, more asking if he had any connection to a particular league or nation through family, history, or personal experience... like the Argentina-Italy connection, for instance.

He was born in France and is a French citizen in spite of not speaking the language well.RedOranje wrote:I wasn't really asking if Higuain had made any comments about favoring a specific destination, more asking if he had any connection to a particular league or nation through family, history, or personal experience... like the Argentina-Italy connection, for instance.

I doubt so. He has not ties to france whatsoever other than being born when his father was playing there,

Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
Pipa ,thank you for your wonderful 7 years. we'll miss you on and off the pitch. He was a symbol of Madridismo and will remain so where ever he go.
Hope he go to Jube and show how overrared mehvani's statistics are...if he go to jube im also predicting him to break the myth that it is tougher to score in serie a..he will prolly score more in that league.

Man I hope he moves to a team I actually have a soft spot for. It would be criminal for me to watch him in a team I hate.

Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
I think Juve have a chance until unless an oil club steps in to make a bid.
If PSG or City come knocking on the door then we have zero chance to land him at Juve.
Still this is the type of striker Juve should be looking to sign.A prolific goalscorer ,great work ethic and a classy personality too something which fits Juve's profile nicely. In an ideal world an SS would be a better fit for the team's requirements right now but you just cant say no to a player like Higuain imo when the opportunity is there you need to grab it with both hands.
128 goals over 5 season. That is a wonderful record tbh.
Still though by publicly stating he wants to leave he's maybe inviting other clubs to make an offer OR maybe his mind his set on Juve and hoping Real lower their asking price which would allow him to move to the team One can dream i suppose.

Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
I really do hope we bid for him, he will defo get 25-30 goals easily. We do need a striker who can pad some stats also against your bog standard league matches, if he flops in the big ish games sure it's not ideal but our big game midfield players always do the business for us .

But would he want to play under Mourinho again or would Mourinho want him at his new team ?

This is the main hurdle, perhaps a Madrid fan could enlighten us on their relationship?

Mourinho convinced him to stay last season and that must have took a lot of persuasion to stay in that hole.

Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
The way Real fans treat their players shows everything thats wrong with Real madrid. Booing Higuain, who works his ass off everygame, treated Raul like he was Pavon when he left Real madrid..more people show up to Ozil's autograph signing then the amount of "fans" who showed up for Raul's farewell. Schalke did more to preserve Raul's legacy than Real.
Even in this forum you can see the mentality of Real fans, Ronaldo is the cancer" for a week, then a "machine" for the next. Obviously, for every "Huntsman", there is a "Zealous" but the fickleness is sometimes too much to handle. I am glad Higuain left, more reasons to hate Real. He was the one player I really liked from Real, and I hope he moves a club with fans who appreciate him as a player.
Also get Suarez, thts exactly the type of player that suits Real. Dirty, Cheap and Spoiled.

Re: Higuain announces he is leaving Madrid
I don't think Mou wants Higuain, but I'm sure he would be able to convince him to move to Chelsea if he wants to.
I'm not sure Mou is a fan of his, you've to remember that Fatzema was able to bench him in big games even in his worst form... Completly justified, Higuain is a ghost of his former self in big games tbf.
