It pretty much stops Liverpool from interfering between the two parties from what I have gathered.

There have been a lot of occasions where player agrees terms with a said club and then both clubs agree a transfer fee.

It's illegal to agree personal terms before buying a player now?  


Quite a few transfers need to be reversed now if that's the case.

In that scenario, Suarez can tell Liverpool he wants to meet Arsenal and see what we have to say. It will be legal on both parts. Liverpool will know about it.

Otherwise, it would have been illegal to meet Suarez had Liverpool rejected the approach AND there was no clause at all.

You can only ask if the player would be interested in joining. That's all it is. You cannot discuss a contract when a player is already has an existing contract. "Agreeing personal terms" is just wrong.

And it looks like this >£40,000,000 bid allows them to contact L.S without Liverpool stopping them. And that's the whole point of this bid apparantly.

I'm honestly more scared of Rooney going to Chelsea. They have a very young squad and can dominate for years if they get Wayne.
