Juventus are set to meet with Brazilian club Botafogo regarding a possible move for highly rated defender Doria.

The Bianconeri are looking to increase their defensive options for next season, and the Brazilian is seen as an ideal signing.

Brazilian newspaper Lancenet are reporting that Juventus officials will meet with the player’s agent tomorrow, in addition to Botafogo directors to discuss potential terms of the deal.

Botafogo have endured financial difficulties in recent times and would be open to selling Doria in order to raise immediate funds. However, the club only own 40% of the player’s rights with Banco BMG owning 20%, and a private third-party investment fund owning the remaining 40%.

Juventus have held a long standing interest in Doria, having previously been linked with the player last summer when a move failed to materialize.

It is reported that a bid of €7 million would be enough to see Doria join Antonio Conte’s team.

Doria has made 31 appearances for Botafogo in his career, scoring three goals.
