The terrorists have kidnapped my friends cousin and held him for a ransom...and murdered him after anyway...

It's different when you know people in the midst of what's happening.

It's not all black and white, and I know which lesser evil I'd chose.

No, his father lives in the gulf for a living and he was with his mother and sister in Syria, he was 16, still in high school, middle class with a bright future.

Wow thats crazy, he was only 16. What the hell did they kidnap him for and why the hell did they kill him? How do they know that they are rebels and not just people taking advantage of the chaos? Are the mom and sister ok?

These stories No

Human Rights Watch outraged by video showing Syrian rebel commander Abu Sakkar cutting out government soldier's heart and eating it.

It would take 20-30 years for Syria to get back to normal, I dont know what they fighting for anymore.

It's no longer about Assad and democracy, that was last year, now its Sunna vs Shia, Iran vs Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and Jihadists vs Hizbullah. They can all slaughter each other for all i care, its just that innocent people are dying for a war that isnt theirs.

The country is beyond redemption, it is beyond fixing at this point. Whats important right now is to contain it so it doesnt spread to other countries.

Looks like the US will be stepping up their support to Syria beyond just humanitarian support. Assad crossed the "red line" that Obama drew when he started using chemicals to attack the rebels.

I don't get what America's problem is anyways. Just mind your own *bleep* business and stop policing the world. It's just like the US Army General said in the video I posted above, "we're going to war with Iraq because we don't know what else to do".

Please show me where Sadam's WMDs are and then I'll support America attacking Syria. And I don't understand how they can remain neutrals after they attack when they are not neutrals right now since NATO and US are the ones providing the Syrian rebels with most of their military might anyways. And these rebels being the same Jihadist fundamentalists against whom they have been fighting the "war on terror" in Afghanistan and Pakistan for over 10 years.

They don't give two shits about democracy (see alliance with Saudia Arabia and other Arab monarchies). They don't give a single *bleep* about human rights (see Guantanamo Bay, Iraq war, support for Sadam in Iran-Iraq war when he used chemical weapons). So just fix your own country and stop worrying about everyone else.

Can't believe how many pro-Assad people there are. Bashar and his father have been oppressing and killing their own people for over 30 years. This massacre in which 30,000 people were killed is an example.

If you are referring to me as one of the pro-Assad people then let me clarify. What I am saying is that the US has no right whatsoever to attack Syria and that's what I am against. And you don't have to go too far back in history to see the results of their previous invasions. Also, to think that they are doing this primarily on humanitarian grounds and to promote freedom etc is naive. They are looking for their own interests. If the Syrian people want to dispose Assad, then I don't have a problem with that. It's their country. What I'm against is the US and NATO going into the place and killing more civilians for their personal gain.

This chemical attack sounds fishy, why would Assad regime commit such a stupid act and give US a reason to declare war on them when they are slowly winning the civil war.
