Re: bhends obscure game of the week
GL Jinx strikes again: Olympiacos gets their equalizer under contentious circumstances after a scramble in the box - Pana felt that the goal was offside but it was razor close
The Panathinaikos players proceeded to attack the ref like I have never seen...I think at one point the ref was pushed to the ground beneath an avalanche of 8 or 9 pana players and some subs
The goal was scored at 87....89 now and Pana still arguing - big crowd of 20 or so people near the benches surrounding the ref

Re: bhends obscure game of the week
After scoring in the 87th, Metroglu appears to have scored on a header in the 96th minute after 7 minutes were added on, only for the goal to be ruled out (correctly) for offside
FT Olympiacos 1-1 Panathinaikos
Crazy ending to the game

Re: bhends obscure game of the week
I also tried to expand my football viewing away from Sunderland.
Didn't wanna pick a glory team though
So i went with Ausburg so I could follow Ji.
Unfortunately they have been as bad as sunderland. Although they did win today and Ji got 2. Typically the time I couldn't watch themm although hopefully the ITV 4 Bundesliga highlights will cover it.
Fingers crossed they can also beat the drop.

gooooooooooool de Riiiiiver
Funes Moura gets dat equalizer and the crowd seems placated for the time being...seemed like they were starting to get restless already after conceding the first goal

Re: bhends obscure game of the week
River denied on a 1v1, looking very dangerous so far
They don't hoof it necessarily, but they certainly dont dawdle with the ball...very direct in their attacks
Game is very back and forth so far 30 minutes in

Re: bhends obscure game of the week
Closing in on HT at River 1-1 Arsenal
by far the most surprising thing to me has been the frenetic pace of the game...I kept waiting for it to slow down but it largely held the whole half
I've only seen MLS or USMNT matches played at this speed for such an extended period of time
Neither teams CMs seem interested in taking the sting out of the game, seems like all of them are perpetually going from box to box
Fat Phil Dowd would have had a coronary trying to ref this game

FT River 1-1 Arsenal
Game was a little short on quality (especially in the 2nd half) but the sheer pace of the match kept it interesting...Can't remember the last time I've seen a ball travel back and forth from box to box with such speed over the course of an entire match - I kept waiting for the pace to let up but it never did
