The United marketing team are second to none.

Bayern Munich are the best at commercial revenue. They got £202.62M from commercial revenue last year, whereas Manchester United got £146.48M from commercial revenue.

The differences are:

Bayern Munich have sold the naming rights to their stadium, Allianz Arena. United have not and could strike a massive deal there if they did.

Bayern also benefit from attractive sponsorship from two of their largest shareholders, namely Audi and Adidas. They both own about 9% of Bayern Munich. If Manchester United were to sell the same proportions of the club to two sponsors, they would get even larger sponsorship deals from those two.

Lastly, what I find a little weird is that Deutsche Telekom - about 30% state-owned company - is their main partner and shirt sponsor. Effectively the government is providing some commercial support to the football club.

So, yes, Bayern Munich does create more commercial revenue - for now, at least, for sure United are closing the gap with their latest sponsorship deals - but Manchester United could blast past Bayern if they were to sell the naming rights to Old Trafford and provide shares of the club in exchange for greater sponsorship deals.

What a *bleep* joke, credit to United for exploiting this but what the *bleep*. Why would you pay any more than £5 to have your name on a training complex? Absolute joke who the *bleep* gets paid to throw away money at things that will have absolutely NO positive effect for a company.

15Million. *bleep* idiotic Aon negotiator.

Glazers: "We want at least 500k p/a for naming rights to our training ground."

Aon rep: "How about 10 Million."

Glazers: "Eh? Are you pulling a joke on me?"

Aon rep: "15 MILLION, DONE!!!!!"

Aon rep walks away with more money than I ever will. Aon rep is also a *bleep* idiot.
