Real Sociedad vs Malaga: Battle for 4th
Tomorrow the earliest La Liga game. Whoever wins earns 4th place, and a draw could see Real Sociedad keep 4th but could also see Valencia equal them on points (but not GD) should they win their match.
I expect RS to take this one though, as Malaga will have to rotate heavily from last match and they have home advantage.

How early is early? Also, surely La Real are clear favourites for this one. Malaga have a trip to Dortmund with a thin squad at their disposal and to make things a bit worse, they not even guaranteed European entry next season so I can see Pelle putting his eggs in UCL basket to carry them as far as possible.
3-0 win for La Real in me humble opinion...

it doesn't really matter if Sociedad gets fourth because Malaga are already banned so they can get a draw and will still be ahead of Valencia
but I want Betis to get fourth/fifth tho. id love to see how theyd fair in Europe

Oh damn thanks for saying it's the earliest match. I would have missed it otherwise
Huge game for both teams, can't say who I would prefer to win but I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be nice seeing La Real in Europe again after the roller coaster ride that club has gone through.

Its truly been a right. As of now La Real are 1 point ahead and Anoeta is truly a fortress this season (most seasons) and Malaga, with all due respect to them will find it quite difficult especially given Sociedad turn it up v bigger opposition.
Apparently Pardo will finally start over Sarpong which should make it interesting with Illaramendi performing his Aranburu role which has worked alongside each other.
Funny how Rebs and I stopped updating the Sociedad thread JUST when they started kicking ass

There's still 9 games left and looking at the La Liga table, I think anyone in the top 10 or so can get that 4th spot.

Not if you've watching those team's recent form. Some teams have clearly built some momentum others are losing it if they haven't already.

I read somewhere that Malaga are only resting Saviola, so should be a great game.
