Morata did the press conference
He will start, plus Mourinho has to give him some more playing time after last week

Guti broke that curse
Anyways, our second string players shoud be able to dance on their way to scoring, but knowing us it is going to be a hard game as always.

I still remember Benzema's open goal miss from the year before last at the Riazor.
It's making a comeback.

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
The good news is that Marcelo is back in the squad, I hope he gets to start, Mourinho will have an eye on the next three matches against Barcelona (Tue), Barcelona (Sat) and United (Wednesday).
This would be my preferred lineup,
Lopez/Adan
Arbeloa - Varane - Albiol - Marcelo
Essien - Modric
Di Maria - Kaka - Ronaldo
Higuain

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
I am thinking Mou might rest most of our starters because along with the united game our next game vs barca is probably the most important one.
I wonder why benz isn't in the squad hope to god morata scores.
think we will start this line up:
hope we score early so that jose rodriguez can get some playing time

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
rest Ozil, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Higuain. I want Pipita to start in CDR. I was thinking about Ronaldo and Ozil to be super subs against Barca in the league.

Varane:
The French centre back is suffering minor muscular discomfort and won't be going up against the team from Coruña.

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
Lots of rusty player out there today, Marcelo had a very poor game due to being out for so long, you can be sure he'll not be starting the clasicos, the rest of the back four weren't much better. Lopez made two blunders tonight, spilling a weak shot and diving too low for the goal, he was otherwise solid, he got finger tip to a shot which probably allowed Marcelo to clear off the line.
Higuain was poor again despite scoring the winner, his first touch is absolutely horrific, speaking of horrific first touches, Callejon could have had a goal if he had a better first touch.
The game though was ultimately won from the bench, the introduction of Khedira, Ozil and Ronaldo in place of Marcelo, Essien and Modric, allowed the team to really control the game.
Ronaldo was man of the match for me, he set Higuain through with a sublime through pass which Higgy converted but was correctly ruled out for offside, he again set the same player up, this time round the goal stood. Special mentions goes to Kaka, he took his goal really well, I just found out that the team ALWAYS wins when Kaka scores.
Di Maria's red card was very harsh, he was moving back when the referee showed him the second yellow.

When teams are parking the bus Kaka is needed IMO. His long/mid range shots are one of the best in the world. These curls

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
Man of the Match: Kaka
Flop of the Match: Modric
Kaka has been outstanding in the past three or four games he has played. I am really happy for him. If he continues like this he may get chosen to play ahead of one of the strikers!
Modric, was poor. He doesnt release the ball quick enough. Its like he is not seeing the passes like a midfielder should.
Khedira came on and was so much better than him. Hope can improve in the summer for next season.

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
We played poor but I liked the effort we put in. Guys like Pipita and Callejon weren't great but they ran their socks off and did everything the manager wanted.
Credit to Kaka, he had a good game.
Marcelo looked rusty but he made a great goal line clearance so he wasn't terrible at all.
Essien and Modric

Modric had a poor game, however I think the whole team did. Deportivo defended like AC Milan did vs Barca, we couldn't really get through.

Re: Deportivo vs Real Madrid discussion
Modric wasn't alone, Essien had an even poorer game, our best pivot is certainly Alonso and Khedira. I hope Alonso gets fit in time for the Barcelona match, he'll be needed not only for his attacking attributes but more importantly his defensive inputs.
