Re: Real Madrid vs Deportivo discussion
mt from now on you should write barca's fixture too in each of madrid's league match threads
won't hurt people here commenting about possibilities of the evil side to choke since they are ahead with quite a margin we need them to choke and not only once
just sayin
anyway i think this will be the first confortable win of the season

Re: Real Madrid vs Deportivo discussion
Winning the league is still largely in our hands, if we win all our remaining fixtures, Barcelona will only need to draw one other match for Madrid to win the league, I wouldn't say it is impossible.
Mourinho will rotate his sqaud a bit for this match, I can see both Khedira and Ozil starting against Deportivo. I'm tipping Benzema to start again after a brilliant showing against Rayo.
But before this match there's a Bernabeu Cup to win on Wednesday.

Re: Real Madrid vs Deportivo discussion
Thank you very much. Kaka's seond goal, and Modric "assist" for callijon were the best imho.
Though the goals got me wondering, why don't madrid players try more faints, or passes when they're near the keeper? it seems they always go for the goal the moment the see the keeper, even in friendlies against week teams, in that highlight alone, Benzema could've tried to faint that on last defender before shooting, same thing with callejon, and Morata could've passed to Ozil instead of attempting to shoot from a tough angle, though he was the only one to try to faint the last defender with his first goal.

its a direct style affected by mourenho madrid, its like when u have a sight on goal, shooot, dont do other bs.
its a effective style of play. infact one of the main reasons we get goals.

You meant the backhell pass for Callejon's second? That was assist from Alex

Re: Real Madrid vs Deportivo discussion
I meant the way he let the ball pass under him, thats the kind of play I'd like us too when we're near the keeper, at least in friendlies or when go 2 or 3 goals up.
Wasn't it Distifano who said that they used to play very direct till they went 2-3 goals up, then they start tricks, faints, and one-twos to entertain the fans? I'd like us to try and play that way.

I would love to see a 4-3-3 with Alonso, Modric and Ozil in the midfield.. What are the chances of this happening lol?

Re: Real Madrid vs Deportivo discussion
@swagg, not very high, don't think Mou is very satisfied with Ozil atm so don't think we will see that
Also we are very lucky to play Ajax before the Clasico because we usually score very early against them, sure they might give us hell but i think Essien can handle that so Mou can rest some of our players such as Khedira

Do you noticed that in recent seasons we always have a match against Ajax before El Clasico ? strange coincidence.

The last time we did was the 5 - 0 that was only 2 years ago mate. And we did play away first the 2 seasons straight prior to that.halamadrid2 wrote:really?? haven't really thought of that

If anything else, playing at home first became a rarity these past few years.

think we might see Modric on the bench, he started last game and Khedira was on the bench, so think Khedira/Ozil might start
