Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
TBF to Cavani though he hustles a lot and that would actually be very welcome at Madrid.

I still say Nick hasn't seen anywhere near enough of Cavani
Some of these comments remind me of the british media and Ibra because he doesn't score against English teams

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
I understand where Nick is coming from actually, I do think that Nick rates Cavani fairly highly, however whenever he's speaking of someone he's relatively critical of compared to the rest of GL - who tend to worship Cavani - he goes overboard with making his point.
I obviously think that Cavani is an exceptional forward, however I personally believe that he has to be very careful about his next choice of club, otherwise he could find himself in a very difficult situation. Such an intelligent goal scorer won't struggle per se, however he may not find such a comfortable position as Napoli throughout the rest of his career. If I were him I'd be staying as far away from Madrid as possible.

saw cavani vs milan yesterday, and he was....wait for it...useless. typical out and out lad with no skills that just try to make runs, chase the ball here and there, cant get involved in the pay because he is clueless at it, cant bring his teammates in the play when he has the ball because he has no vision but runs really hard when it's time to counter, and aggressively moves inside the box to get at the end of crosses. This is your typical out and out 9 with special skill *hustle*. and did i mention the choke vs abbiati?

I also heard that Pogba's release clause is very low because he was signed on a free... in the 15 mil range or less.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
I'm trying to check this out. Rumors are all over the place regarding Pogba's release clause because it was never made public... But i've heard that Juve have been trying to extend him in order to raise his release clause, whatever it is. His current contract runs out in 2016.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
Juve is offering to give him a huge raise and extension + they have put Vidal on the market to make room for him. Juve can't afford top bench players. It's a lot better situation for him tbh. Juve is a top club and they will be in CL.
As much as i would love to see him in Madrid... if i has to advise him without bias, i tell him to take the Juve deal. He gets everything he needs and doesn't take on unnecessary risk at this stage of his career.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
If you're fine with paying that for Falcao then why not Cavani?
Let's look at the facts (I'm a huge Falcao fan to be fair)
Falcao has scored plenty of goals in the EUROPA league. He has an excellent goal/game ratio with 48 goals in 61 apps for Atletico. However, it's a much more free flowing game in spain and goals are easier to come by. (Debate it if you want but there's nobody going to change my mind on this)
Cavani playing in a very defensive league for a meh Napoli side has 71 goals in 98 apps. He has 19 goals in 25 European games including 5 in 8 in last seasons CL.
Cavani is just as good as Falcao yet people don't even rate him half as highly for some reason. What exactly has Falcao done that's more impressive than Cavani individually? Tear up the Europa league? We're rating him higher than Cavani for tearing up the Europa is that what we've come to?
I don't see exactly where Falcao has completely outshined Cavani in any way.
Don't judge him in one game, judge him for his 0.7goals/game in serie A.

Because he's a La Liga fanboy, i thought that was obvious by now?
Why do you think he talks about Michu, Aguero and Negredo lol.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
Oh wow I never seen that part.
come on man Negredo? There's underrating and there's all out attacking a player
Falcao in my opinion is not at the level of Carlton Cole, Carlton can hold the ball up better.
That sounds pretty insane doesn't it?

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
no need to be a fanboy to see how good Kun is. Negredo and Michu are pretty good too. anyway cavani is much better than those two lads
I just happen to believe that Falcao on form is the most lethal thing you can find in football. inside the box, maybe just Messi is more accurate than he is, his shooting is a thing of beauty. Also possesses something called the "clutch gene". Falcao is the god of 9s in modern footy, then it's gomez, and cavani is 3rd.
but cant say enough how much i dislike pure 9s, overrated bunch, just like cavani is on here

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
Falcao is a scrub if he is not the focal point of the team so I'd rather have Cavani. Having said that both aren't exactly strikers I would want us to sign if given the choice.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
When has Falcao not been a "focal point" thus showing he is scrub in those moments?
Whats that based on?
Anyway, I like both, probably my 2 favourite strikers (not forwards).
I prefer Falcao though, hes just ruthless, give him an inch and he will take a mile.

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
It would depend on what type of striker the club is looking for. Currently I think it's between Aguero and Cavani. The Falcao rumours have kinda gone ayway.
I prefer someone who do more than score though. Someone like Aguero.

Find it funny that you mention clutch and then mention Gomez in the same sentence
Anyway its pretty obvious you don't watch Serie A and PL as much as you do La Liga

Re: Daily Transfer Rumors thread
Gomez is about as clutch as Giovinco
Put him in a game with scrubs or in a low-pressure game and he'll bang them in.
Put him in a big game and you might aswell have your CB upfront.

well of course, never claimed the contrary. that being said, i still know them players pretty damn well, and everything i say is accurate. it's the fact that i am trolling Cavani that bothers u

I was joking when I said scrub . Falcao is obviously a fabulous striker but he wouldn't be a good fit at Madrid, not when he will get far less touches and be expected to cover much more ground.
I think both Falcao and Cavani are very good number 9s and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who disagrees with that.
