He was great vs us..
Icardi might have stole the show with his 2 goals but Poli was the best player on the field without a doubt...

As for him being a Vice Pirlo,if you people watched Samp this season ,Obiang is the one who sits in front of the back 4 and orchestrates play while Poli plays in the CM role in the mold of Marchisio for example. He was a CM even in his short spell at Inter too,and it remains to be seen whether he'd be actually fill that DLP role efficiently.I would've much rather preferred Obiang but whatever.
I dont rate him nearly high as Veratti. And to think that we had the chance to sign him for a paltry sum this summer.

Wholeheartedly agree with you here, but I do think Poli is a talent and he does have the necessary traits to succeed as a DLP
Obiang is great too, Sampdoria has a good squad

I rate kovacevic above Veratti tbh . All those yung players are in the same group of quality for me entitled as ' layers who have potntial to be world class' and I see poli there. Obiang is great player to. Poli can be the Vice-Pirlo or the Vice- Marchisio and I love that

Re: Benvenuto Andrea Poli - from June :)
To be honest im not dissapointed by this signing but i am not particually thrilled. we have marrone and pogba who can fill in for pirlo. their are better options out their for a pirlo "replacement" e.g veratti, ever banega. Poli is a solid signing but i am not sure he is "juve level". We have more pressing needs like a world class second striker to attend to which is probably gonna cost in the region of 30 million. also a proper understudy to asamoah as de ceglie works hard but simply isn't good enough.
with something like 30 million allready spent in the summer for the isla-asamoah deal, peluso and i think padoin and with the board being obsessed with breaking even as well as not being able to sell our players at their market value we could be in for another dissapointing summer where we don't buy the "star striker" we need. we will probably end up with another panic buy at the end of the mercato just bring us 1 of a tevez, jovetic or isco level type player Marotta so then this striker situation can stop dragging on for eternity and it will end up costing us more money to buy 5 matri's instead of 1 star striker

Yeah for me Poli reminds me a lot of Marchisio i don't think his a vice-Pirlo either. In fact Poli's winning goal against Bologna this season reminds me a lot of Marchisio's goal against Inter last season. Where he played a one-two with Vucinic to score at the Giuseppe Meazza.

Re: Benvenuto Andrea Poli - from June :)
This summer there is literally no excuse not to spend big on a second striker.
We have Llorente for free, we'll be able to move one or two strikers out. Hopefully Giovinco, he's not good enough to wear the Juve shirt.
How on earth can we compete for the league and CL if we're scared to improve our GAPING weakness.

It's a damned if you don't and damned if you do situation. our board are obsessed with breaking even and they always troll us in the market saying funds are available like a 40 million dollar budget and then they say at the last minute " oh and that includes the co-ownership deals" which i suspect will happen this summer again. We have allready spent big before even getting anyone. on the other hand if we fail AGAIN to get a big name forward we will repeat the cycle of buying more matri's which probably ends up costing us more anyway. we would be better off to buy a jovetic type forward and go into debt then buying 5 matri's. alot of other big clubs have been allowed to go into debt why can't we?
