Sticky post within threads?
If there's certain rules/ideas/whatever for a thread, then the thread poster will post them on the first page of the thread. However lets say someone joins the thread 3-4 pages in, then that person might not go to the first page.
So how about having some sort of sticky option feature? Whatever the thread starter writes, it appears at the top of every page.
Also this feature would be optional when creating the the thread. It's not mandatory.

Re: Sticky post within threads?
That sounds stupid.
If the person can't be bothered to look at the OP (especially in a thread containing rules, ideas or predictions or whatever) then they should gtfo.
Let's not encourage laziness.

It could be a 40-50 page thread and some important information/update could be e.g. on page 32. So if a person entered a thread late, they may miss that update/information.

Re: Sticky post within threads?
Then the OP or a mod can put that info into the first post in that thread.
Problem fixed.

Yeh but what if someone's already viewed the first post the first they went on the thread, then the next time they go on the thread there's new info and they probably won't view the first post again.

Re: Sticky post within threads?
I actually don't think this is stupid at all. I reckon it's quite smart actually. Like if there's certain rules to follow or something, have a small notice at the top which contains the details of the first post. Or you can make it that the first post isn't stickied, rather whatever you type in this 'box' (as an example) will be stickied in a notice box or something....quite clever i reckon...
EDIT: It doesn't have to be a whole 'post' message sorta thing, just a notice box or something....
