Confident I could pass most of you scrubs off the pitch with a skillful team but I'm a rubbish defender on Legendary

Any tips?? Also moving between 3 and 4 at the back. Main reason I like 4 is normally passing lanes I'm used to, but its a problem when fullbacks overcommit and mids aren't back. The DM position in this game is poor and hard to fix... Really annoying.

I have gotten reasonably good at defending on legendary just by not jumping into tackles and containing much more. It's also about the tactics you use. I play very conservative ie slow build up, when I lose the ball I drop back to my own box before making a Challenge.

Also if you're midfielders aren't dropping back enough, get ones with high defence work rate. Thumbs up

I find players like Ramires and Vidal partnering players like Mikel and De Rossi work well together. Also set up defensive runs so that they track back no matter what.

Another thing I find useful is not to take control of your CB's until you have no one left to defend as they set up a nice barrier. try win the ball with your CM's/fullbacks first. Then when all else fails, use a CB. Positioning is so vital in all of this as well. Never make a rash challenge unless you have to or know you will win it.

Treble winner with Roma in this latest season. Won Serie A with 93 points, 99 goals scored and 38 conceded with only 6 draws and 3 losses. Lamela (87), Osvaldo (83) and Pjanic (87) were my top scorers with 20, 19, and 18 goals. Osvaldo was top assist man with 13.

For the new season:

- Sold both Osvaldo and Castan (85) to Madrid for 15m each.
- Picked up Ciro Immobile from Genoa for 22m and Tachtsidis.
- Picked up Sandro Busatta from Internacional for 9m and one of my youth players.

Those will be my only 2 signings. Have had to fend off offers for Danilo (85), Lamela (87), Romagnoli (75), and Florenzi (80) so far.

Also took the France job. This will likely be my last season with Roma.

That's a good idea, however 3 CB's is still a disadvantage imo.

I made the 3 CB formation for both. I have had pretty good success online with my custom 3-5-2.

I faced PSG a few times when they were in the Quarter-Finals lol.. I hate playing against Madrid over and over and over, fuxking annoying

I play with Madrid 99% of the time on seasons (played with Brazil a few times).. But I support them so I'm good :coffee:

Y'all need to take a pages from Bhend's book and play with teams that are not 5 stars - that way you will not keep running into the same teams.

Maybe there could be a filter in FIFA 14 where you choose who you don't want to face. Or something that makes sure you don't face the same team 3 times/twice etc in a row.
