Guardiola to snub City for United
Pep Guardiola is ready to snub the Manchester City job in favour of succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager, reports the Daily Star on Sunday.
The former Barcelona boss, who is currently enjoying a year-long sabbatical after leaving the Camp Nou in May, had been lined up by the reigning Premier League champions as a replacement for Roberto Mancini.
Manchester City's new sporting director, Txiki Begiristain - formerly of Barcelona - recently met with the Spaniard to discuss the position at the Etihad Stadium, but the 41-year-old is believed to have told friends it's the Manchester United job that he wants.
Rumours are gathering pace that Ferguson will retire and leave Old Trafford next summer, but even if he changes his mind, Guardiola is prepared to wait, and could even extend his sabbatical should the Red Devils chief decide to stay.
Guardiola could earn double the money at Manchester City, however, he's been won over by the Manchester United project after meeting Ferguson a number of times in New York over the past few months, to discuss plans for the future.
A three-year deal is on the table for Guardiola at Old Trafford, with the option to bring in the two assistants and three new coaches that he requires to help further develop the clubs's youth programme.

Yessssssssssssss!!!
I hope this is true. Both Pep and Moyes are my preferences to replace SAF. Hope Mourinho stays far away from our club.

First choice for me is Moyes, because out of the 3 he is the most likely to stay the longest. I think with more money he can do wonders. And yes, definitely no Mourinho!

Would be very interesting to see how he would work this Manchester side to play attractive possession football...
Mourinho at Man United or in fact any club would just ruin the club(s)

I actually think David Moyes will get the job. But I definitely think United are considering Pep as well. It's between these 2 imo.
I also think this is SAF's last season.

So many reasons. Mourinho will ruin our image. Look at what he has done to Madrid? SAF uses the us vs them mentality but Mourinho takes the piss. He has ruined Madrids reputation in Spain badly.
He will use his us vs them mentality to try and motivate the players and this will eventually mentally wear out the players as he showed at chelsea, the inter squad after he left was in tatters and now Madrid. It will also cause fricion in our team. Madrids dressing room is a mess. People forget that there was in fighting in chelsea and rememebr Drogba saying I "I know the players that wanted him out but I won't say anything"?
We will never develop another player from our youth team. I mean Mou needed a rb and sold Danny Carvajal ffs who has been the best rb in the bundesliga and the most in form rb inEurope
Thats just a few points

Re: Guardiola to snub City for United
Mourinho is very good at winning trophies in a short time, but I think he just can't be good at staying more than 3 or 4 years at a club.So he seems to be the solution for desperate teams (Chelsea was a desperate team to win something at that time, Inter and Real Madrid the same). He also won trophies with teams that had the posibility to buy players for much money and not use the club's youth department. He did something amazing with Porto, but then he changed himself.I think he doesn't know how to motivate his players after a few years and he is losing easily what he already have built because even himself doesn't have motivation to stay at the same club more than a few years. He must improve at this.

Re: Guardiola to snub City for United
SAF recently said he isn't retiring any time soon....so Pep to come be SAF's #2 until he retires or its not gonna happen.
Moyes for me is what would be best for the club, and I think SAF will have a huge say in who follows him, I think he respects Moyes a lot and would gladly give his approval.
might aswell stick with the scotts

I don't think Man United have the funds for Guardiola but I'm sure if he does come or not, he would be gladly welcomed
