Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
Ozil had a poor start last season and there were rumours of him leaving etc etc. Then he stepped up in the 2nd half of the season.

What was his rant about again? Something about people pretending to know the Bundesliga?

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
Anyway just humoring the article for a moment....
The only way Ozil to BVB makes footballing sense ( ignoring the obvious financial issues)
Is if they plan to use Reus as CF and play Ozil, Gotze and Kuba behind him and get rid of Lewa or put him on the bench.
What ever way you look at it then it's not happening.

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
I should probably enlighten the not-so-BL-knowledgeable...
Mesut Özil (born in Gelsenkirchen) is a Schalke youth product. Dunno how he'd like the idea to end up at Dortmund. And Nuri Sahin (born in Lüdenscheid) as former BVB star might not fit perfectly into Schalke either

Ozil is welcome to Arsenal anytime
Maybe we can do a loan move. Send Denilson the other way

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
Madrid rarely sells players who perform so I whats the point even to discuss..
#insignificantBundesliga is the least prestigious league out of the top 5, how in the hell they can attract Özil now that he plays in RM.

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
As a matter of fact, there were some daring individuals who played for both Dortmund and Schalke (Mad Jens comes to mind), but it is certainly not the rule and it needs quite some insult-toleranceGreat Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Yh i know i just felt like humoring the article for a moment for transfer rumors purposes

we'll take Goatze, Reus or Gundogan off Dortmunds hands if they need money to fund this transfer

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
Dortmund don't need money. Moreover, I don't think an Ex-Schalke player would fit in there too wellB-Mac MUFC wrote:we'll take Goatze, Reus or Gundogan off Dortmunds hands if they need money to fund this transfer

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
If this happened, you could just imagine the next Schalke - Dortmund game.
Needless to say Oezil to Dortmund can never happen.

This thread is just silly. Ozil isn't needed at Dortmund, Real won't sell and he wouldn't even go there!

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
This would be scary. Klopp seems to know how to use playmakers and they play very similarly to German NT. Madrid, well...don't lol. Modric barely makes an impact, Alonso is too deep to ususally have a direct impact and well,Ozil is suffering. He would be a killer in Dortmund, hell look at Kagawa at Dortmund and look at him at United, we cant use playmakers here as well.

because Rooney plays the role Kagawa is accustom to, and Rooney will not be dropped

Re: BVB - Transfer rumours/discussions
It's for me a senseless rumor unless Dortmund must sell Götze or Reus to a bigger club.
I can't imagine that Özil'd go to Dortmund, at least in the next few years. Dortmund don't need him (and couldn't afford him right now). They have Götze and Reus for his position who I believe are already better than Özil and will become much better than Özil in the near future.
