Re: EPL
The Premier League stadiums seem dead. Few chants, benchend players in tribunes... And now ultras not even allowed to stand.... No Tifos as well. And record price for a seat so only rich can come.

Re: EPL
As long as it's a seated section (like they all are in the Premiership), you shouldn't be standing up all the time, that's simply the rule. Safety issues plus other people who go there expect to see the game while sitting down. I think it's excellent Sunderland are acting on this. You need to change the all-seater stadia rule if you want to allow people standing up.

Re: EPL
It causes a problem for everyone, the only moments you should stand up is goal scoring opportunities or to give clap for the star getting subbed in or out, but if I spent a good deal of money for my little brother or nephew and some asshole stands in front of them the whole game I too would be mad.

I don't see why this is facepalm worthy. The safety and comfort of the fans is the priority in England now and there are rules in place to ensure that stadia can provide that. You cannot criticise a club for acting on its own rules. Speaking as a fan who generally prefers to remains seated and quiet when watching games in the stadium, it can be very annoying when people stand up in front of you.
I completely agree with this. If there are fans who want to stand when watching football matches, then there has to be areas within the stadium that allow them to without obscuring the view of fans who prefer to be seated. There are people currently who are actually looking at the posibility of safe standing areas (looking at a lot of Bundesliga stadia, in particular) and there are a number of clubs who are supportive of this and the FA is actually not entirely against it. So you may see the return of standing areas in the Premier League and Championship.
In any case, it's far too soon for changes to be made based on the recent Hillsborough revelations.
