Re: Mou has lost his mind
VDB has no coaching style ? What do you want him to do ? His team is made around tiki-taka players... do you want him to change these tactics ? After all it isn't very different from 2001-2003 team, but more defensive.

What I really find amazing is the armchair managers that seem to imply a monkey could obviously see whats wrong and fix it. I'd wager a bet this guy himself understands "tactics" little since he apparently implies that the on field organization is completely stopping Madrid to a halt against the likes of Real Betis, Espanyol and Real Zaragoza. Lets of course forget that Real Madrid has a squad where they could literally have a Teddy Bear as their head coach and comfortably be in second place.
...
I see things as very complicated for the team, from the beginning of the season they have been a mere shadow of their last season selves, after thinking about it for some time i believe its a mixture of them being pushed beyond their limit last season, the apathy that comes from winning so much, unfortunate injuries to key members, the ongoing feud between Casillas, Ramos and Mourinho, Ronaldo and his sadness, Benzema being apathetic again, Di Maria playing and acting like an unprofessional teen, Alonso getting old, Modric not adapating quick enough and just a loss of form for Ozil and Khedira.
The way the team has been touching the ball and playing with their first touch speaks volumes to me, Last season that was the defining benchmark of the team, the players practically had the best first touch in football outside of Barcelona, teams parked the bus against them all the time but they sieged through anyways because guys like Ronaldo, Marcelo, Ozil and Benzema combined in excellent ways.
This season teams still park the bus against Madrid, and its been working great because the team just doesn't seem to care one bit, its shocking stuff to watch, seeing Ronaldo and Di Maria try to cut in through the middle again and again, as if they had forgotten how to play football. To play through the middle against the park team requires absolute world class skills in either first touch or dribbling and to be at the top of your game, none of those things are working out for Madrid right now. I haveseen them make an effort to stretch out the play, but the team has been so sluggish its painful to watch.
In the end i don't really mind much if Mou gets sacked or not, i think he's the greatest manager the world has seen. If i were Real Madrid president i would just shrug this season off, keep everyone and start planning for the next one. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't need shiny toys or that needs to vent at someone when things aren't going my way, nor am i one to adore symbols, traditions and memories that get in the way of winning. It just seem like most Madrid fans are the opposite.

Re: Mou has lost his mind
Sorry... but Mou has shown awful tactical acumen in La Liga. He could get away with bypassing the midfield in EPL and Serie A because midfield quality is at a historical low on those leagues. But in La Liga, it's the golden age of midfielders. You're asking for trouble by not adjusting.
He relies on the individual brilliance of our forwards to carry our attack last year. Now that they're not quite as incredible, it is abundantly clear that Mou has no good system that the group can rely upon.
And, yes, us armchair warriors see clearly that Mou has his style and tactic. He is stubborn and will not deviate. In fact, whenever his managing ability comes into question, he stirs it up with either the refereeing or the players... he always deflects.
The Cowardly One is a more fitting title for Mou.

Re: Mou has lost his mind
chino, i can just as well make an argument that all those things come down to the manager. who engineered feud in the locker room for the past 3 seasons, and there has been reported feud with just about every key player lol, or at least players feeling betrayed or let down by their coach. list? CR himself lol, Benz, higuain, casillas, ozil, ramos, coentrao, kaka, di maria, even carvalho lol. His technique to get his players to love him to death kinda failed in madrid, and it's turning against him little by little.
who has given CR and Di Maria license to try individual plays all the time in madrid? Mourinho. they have been doing it since last season, teams just defending better. Who has engineered the most ridiculous CF rotation policy in footy? mourinho. that stuff is seriosuly hurting the productivity of our CFs, and their growth.
yes we have been sluggish, but instead of designing new ways to play the game at a tactical level, we are rinsing and repeating the stuff from last season. Teams use video now, they prepare a lot better for us. Mou tried to invent new playing schemes by signing 35mil Modric, which is not giving proper results obviously.
yup, this like i said, still talking shop and not football, dat brainwashing lol. Instead of talking about how things evolve on the pitch tactically, we are here discussing emotions and likeness and that other stuff. It's very simple, when mou wins, he is held as the greater leader of men, psychiatric, and philosopher the world has ever seen. When he loses, responsibility is deflected to his players because they cant understand how awesome his dictatorial and deceiving ways are.
Meanwhile on the pitch, maybe it's time to blame the fact that we have become unimaginative since last season. Since the stuff we used to do arent working anymore, there is no way around it. But at least Pepe still have his foot strength to launch terrible hoof balls forward. fullbacks in football arent even worried ROnaldo or di maria will go to get a cross in. Just bait them inside and attack them on the slight turn, double that short inside corner. fullbacks dont even care about coentrao and arbeloa getting in the back, why would they? Maybe they saw us throwing lots of over the top balls from deep, and drop their lines even more to prevent that. Oh and they figured out Alonso was crap on the ball and attack him anytime they can, same as khedira. And let's not pretend that last season we were oh so mighty. I remember 6-0 drubbing where we would play garbage but we would have ridiculous efficiency, well santa coming tonight but not every night. i remember teams like Betis, Malaga, and some other la liga minnows already showing us that they could play football on top of us and make us look shat.
The beauty in this is the fact that i started mentioning these issues about 2 years ago.

Re: Mou has lost his mind
I think I'd trust Mourinho over some average manager in a CL tie vs Man Utd. Sure La Liga's pretty much over, but Mourinho does well in the big games. Based on how we've done in La Liga, it doesn't look like we'll do much in the CL under Mourinho.
However CL is 1 big game at a time kinda.

Re: Mou has lost his mind
Mou... if he has the support of the players in the locker room... may have had a chance in CL and CDR. The problem is that he has nobody now in the Madrid locker room. Nobody is going to side against Casillas and many love Casillas greatly.
Mou has left Flo with no choice. I just think Flo is waiting to a few days to get a replacement in place before bringing down the hammer.
If he doesn't he loses the election this summer to get re-elected as the real Madrid president. Listening to some of the Madrid radio programs... they spoke to several socios who have all told them that, as of now, they would not vote for Flo.
It's really bad. Flo needs to do something.

Re: Mou has lost his mind
im pretty sure perez will take his chances on keeping mou expecting him to win the CL
that possibility will pretty much guarantee his place as madrid's president
now regarding the probability of that to happen we have a different opinion as i believe things will calm down and eventually the team will find its old self again and take its chances winning the CL

Re: Mou has lost his mind
im a fan of mou but a way bigger fan of madrid, so he should go never really liked how he handled some situations and players mainly benz and ozil both stand out players last seasons, that got harsh treatment at the start of the new season for no real reason, also got real tired of constant bashing of refs etc,...
we all saw glaring issues with the team from last season and non as been addressed, this is partly madrid fault as well i must say, since certain players should get dropped, namely ramos, arbeloa and xabi all spanish nationals, im sure the club dont want barca hogging all the nt glory but they are the main culprits, we have subtle replacements for xabi and ramos,rb can be bought in jan
we need a manager that relies on a midfield once we get that ticking the players will look much better and more organised

We may not win anything... but it's great reality TV, that's for sure.

Even if he does win everything possible this season, he'll probably leave anyway.

They are playing like it ever since Tito went to hospital.....
This proves that Barca need a tactically smart coach to make it work like any other team.
If i see anyone say they can coach Barca and win things i'm going to freak lol.

I hope at least now fans realise how good Pep was and also give some credit to Del Bosque.
People who haven't played football think amazing players can do it without a coach. They can't.
