Honestly, Pirlo and Marchisio have been great during the group stages, but the stand-out performer without a shadow of a doubt was Vidal. Incredible performances, especially vs Chelsea (home AND away), and vs Shakhtar last night.

Speaking from Juve's perspective i'd say Vidal,Chiellini and Lichtsteiner have been the three standout performers for the team imo.Especially when you take into account in the games which we needed to win to progress.

Barca and Real players didn't play that great...

This is very difficult because when I watch Barca, I miss 7 other games each time. I dont think anyone can really be sure of this.

Anyways, I will go with something lobsided but functional over putting in a system and forcing players in while better candidates arent in.

Honorable mention to Burak Yilmaz. He banged in the goals, I didnt see any of his games though so it would be a little silly to include him just based on that. Same goes for Alan.

Would of liked to put Ribery and Isco also no Dortmund guys feel wrong, but it is what it is.

Fernandhino has been one of the best Midfielder in the UCL this season!

Not surprised given Barca play on the same day as Juventus do. Bonnuci has been the best Italian CB since the Euros. Not only he has been an excellent CB his near Sweeper role and playmaking/passing has been excellent to give Juve a midfield advantage. Which is why I give him the edge over Cheillini.

This is difficult because so many different players have impressed but here we go....

Exactly. Thing is he is so easily forgettable because while his role is important, Vidals energy and Cheillini's activity are much easier to pick out. But, Bonccci's role making passes out the back, be it long or short have been great while being better defensively than I ever remember him being.

That's always been one of his strong points since he's joined juventus.
What's really improved is his mistake factor. While we still see some blunders, I remember him deflecting oscar's first goal against Chelsea, he has grown so much in confidence that he's overcome these moments, for the most part.

I'm glad other people are pointing out his ability because I also believe he has been the best Italian defender since the euros. With chiellini struggling for fitness over this time- although he was fantastic last night, his booking rules him out of juventus' first game in the knockout stage. Barzagli has also had a career season.
