Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino forced a young fan to throw away a souvenir shirt given to him by Napoli's Marek Hamsik after the Slovakian star scored the winner against his side.

Midfielder Hamsik helped Napoli edge what proved to be a tight game against Cagliari, curling home a right-footed shot in the 72nd minute.

It was a superb effort that helped Napoli to a vital three points, but the real action took place after the full-time whistle.

As the players departed the pitch, a young fan - who was acting as a steward and employed by Cagliari - rushed over to goalscorer Hamsik and asked for his shirt as a souvenir.

The man of the match duly handed over the jersey but as the youngster cherished the garment, Cagliari owner Cellino dashed down from the stands and demanded he threw the top away.

Cellino was clearly incensed at Hamsik scoring the winner, and when the steward refused to part with his gift he was marched over to the touchline and the shirt was handed to a member of staff to be binned.

The 55-year-old Cagliari supremo then gave the boy a dressing down, scolding him for accepting opposition player’s shirt in the first place.
