Cue United fans/La Liga Lugs roaring in and reminding us he's only 16 and needs more time to settle down

Come on people.
In La Liga players shoot with much more technique. All that curve and sexy spin is where it's at. Laser-like rocket shots? Meh, those are for pussies.

SAF won't allow it.
Screw him over on his birthday.
Twitter reports saying he is more red than the home jersey.

Re: Is David De Gea The True Successor of Massimo Taibi?
Its SAFs fault
De Gea was in great form earlier this year and was really starting to come into his own....Then SAF starts randomly benching him for Lindergäääääärd every couple of games and he loses form and then confidence

Re: Is David De Gea The True Successor of Massimo Taibi?
It's been a great learning experience so far for de Gea. However, he shouldn't be given preferential treatment just because he's our future number one. What I don't get is why Fergie rests de Gea when he's in fine form and why he rests Lindegaard when he's in fine form. What bemuses me is that some of our fans thought de Gea was going to be just as assured at the back as van der Sar. De Gea had a poor game today against Blackburn, but I wasn't really surprised that he was going to struggle aerially against tough, physical opponents. I mean, take a look at the statistics: Blackburn have scored the second amount of goals from corners. If there was a crucial fixture to play Lindegaard then it was today. He excels in the areas de Gea's fails to make himself dominant in, which happens to be punching the or holding the ball from set pieces. On a positive note, de Gea has the best distribution in the league, which is now becoming more and more apparent. He's constantly learning -- I'd rather have him making these mistakes at this stage of his career, he's only 20, there's still plenty of time to focus on the weak aspects of his game.
