Man Utd fight Liverpool for Italy's new 'Paolo Rossi' City, Southampton, Roma and Juventus are also on the 18 year-old's trail
Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Southampton are on the trail of young Italian striker Domenico Berardi, according to the Daily Mail (http://bit.ly/ZEXQEV).
The 18-year-old has been starring for Serie B side Sassuolo scoring three goals in 10 appearances in the process.
His agent, Giuseppe Galli, says Premier League champions City have joined Juventus and Roma in the race for the teenager's signature and have sent scouts frequently to watch him playing for Sassuolo.
"Juventus, Roma and Manchester City seeking Berardi? These are not rumours - this is real interest," agent Giuseppe Galli told tuttojuve.com.
"During recent weeks these clubs have sent observers to see Sassuolo's matches on many occasions.
"Manchester City's scouts have often come from England."
His current contract runs until 2015, but Sassuolo general director Nereo Bonato has hinted that Berardi could leave for bigger and better things, should the right offer come in.
He claimed Manchester United were also interested in the striker.
"The interest from Manchester United? The player is followed with great attention by many clubs, including the Red Devils and also Juventus."
He told calciomercato.it: "We have received accreditation requests to view our games in recent times from English clubs such as Liverpool and Southampton."
