Its always the first 2 plays after a restart following a goal that we just really drop the standard.. i really do think we just breathe out a sign of a relief and switch off for a few minutes.. almost as if we deserve to just sit down for a minute to re-live the goal..

I think stroppa needs to have a word with his goal keeper and the left one of the back 3 pescara centre backs..

Alessio should have a close look at that.... thats where the next goal is likely to come from... the whole team should be made aware to target that CB & that goal corner if possible

It's not something specific to pescara though
That angle, low across the goalkeeper's body to the far post is a high percentage shot

Pescara's defense as a whole just horrible
Not much the goalkeeper can do because if he cheats a bit to the side he leaves the near post open for an easier finish potentially

ofcourse that shot is a goal scoring shot but being wrong footed and offbalance against that shot 3 or 4 times is an OBVIOUS weakness of the goal keeper. Its not just his 'cheating' to the side. Either he doesnt get down well, or quickly, he doesnt use his legs at all, his weight is on the wrong foot, and his right hand is weak --> theres nothing generic about that. plus, he offers way too much angle on his far side and covers his near post way too much. his lack of leg use is costing him. Infact, thats very specific for this goal keeper. and the defender being caught on his left side with a slow weak turn? that is also a very specific, important details in this game and this team. Theres nothing generic about that observation at all.

easy solution - if you dont want to take the CB off, switch him to the right of defense, or even better, to the centre of defense where he is offered cover on both sides.

Bonucci gets turned much easier than Chiellini or Barzagli so thats one of the reasons hes best in the centre.

now contrast that to Perin's goal keeping against marchisio's shot just now.
He gets down much better and quicker, his leg use is much better position to cover his near post. Either their GK coach has had a word with him OR, hes just naturally better on that side.
