Referee banned for 'technical error' made during Sevilla-Barcelona game.
The RFEF has finally decided to take a tougher stance on poor officiating by sanctioning the referee for his errors which proved costly for Sevilla and Barca's other title rivals. They shouldn't stop there, Fabregas should also be banned for deceiving the match official into awarding a non-exitent red card.

At least it's a start, the punishment might deter other referees from being crap. Fabregas shouldn't be left of the hook lightly though, the referee was conned, the conman cannot go unpunished.

"deter" them from being crap?
I'm pretty sure being crap isn't a choice

The linesman who disallowed Soldado's legitimate goal vs Madrid needs to be suspended too.
Damage is already done though, Real have already been awarded the point :/

Fabregas backed out of the head vs head battle, which meant he got hit by Medel.
Did the ref base his decision on Fabregas' acting?

Well done. Fabregas didn't cheat. There was contact. Therefore there is no decieving. He overreacted. Pretty simple. Madrid fans make a meal out of it.

Wow the Spanish federation is such a joke.
How on god's green earth does Pepe get away with stomping on Messi's hand totally on purpose which let's be honest could have seriously hurt his hand and was a "violent act" and the ref called nothing and he gets no suspension or warning or anything yet this guy gets suspended.
I'll admit Cesc made a total meal out of it but you have to blame Cesc not the ref, there job is hard enough and it did look like Medel went hard into Cesc until you saw the replays of Cesc acting. The ref only gets to see it once.

Madrid is seriously pissing me off with referee decisions. They say we are UEFAlona but hey too many bad decisions for the past 2 season. ffss...

Good, although it's no wonder they choose Barcelona game to start to executing these. Now everyone can see how Madrid have always been favoured in Spain by referees and RFEF.
Also now people will be even more careful to notice every mistake refs make, and I'm sure this decision will hurt more Madrid. That is if they continue executing these fairly.

I think they chose Barca first is because it's blantly obvious that their European success is PARTLY debited to refereeing decisions.

What referee mistakes? Barca always will get the worst decisions, no penalties awarded when they should, and reds given when they shouldn't. Examples the Chelsea tie 08-09 (which was pretty shitty refereed, but fairly shitty) and Arsenal tie 10-11, Milan tie 11-12, I could go on.

Re: Referee banned for 'technical error' made during Sevilla-Barcelona game.
Chelsea tie in 08-09 ended up favoring Barca
RM Barca CL 10-11 ended in favor of Barca
The very years they won their CLs.
RM have had theirs too but noone cares about them because they never win. Trollololol

Also this may actually start a revolt in refs and RFEF, and one can only hope that somebody spills the beans about last season, which was most blatantly conspired by the referees since calciopoli.

Re: Referee banned for 'technical error' made during Sevilla-Barcelona game.
No it didn't, Barca got first two penalty calls, and they didn't give those, which meant they couldn't give them to Chelsea either. But they did give an red for Barca though from Anelka tripping to his own foot.Lord Hispano wrote:Chelsea tie in 08-09 ended up favoring Barca

The same happened in Milan 10-11, were they didn't give either penalties in the first leg, but in their luck, Barca had two other calls they could give in the second leg. So that's 2/4 penalties given in that tie. Milan favoured.
Also Pepe offence was a clear red card, like Busquets's last game, which he got two games ban. The same headslap where RvP got only yellow in 10-11, after Messi's goal was wrongfully denied in the first leg. Arsenal favoured.
I could go on...

If every linesman who disallowed a legitimate goal got suspended, no one would be refereeing games.
Disallowing a legit goal happens alot.
But what happened with Fab and the ref's stupidity deserves more than a one match ban.

Yeah that's why I can justify my arguments, when you don't even have an argument. This. Refereeing is always bad when we play someone. Either we are disadvantaged or advantage. WE are called UEFAlona when Madrid gets loads more decisions their way when its not. Its seriously a joke.

Or the other lines-man on the other side dissallowing a penalty
Or lets just say Osasuna's red card or Missi's offside goal.
uggh, damage already done though, Barca have already been awarded the points

Re: Referee banned for 'technical error' made during Sevilla-Barcelona game.
fair decision... ref had to be banned.
no need to talk about other decisions favoring other teams.
I just expect certain people here to be objective and not to have double standards in the future... I know it won't happen but one can always hope
