Re: Arsenal v Chelsea Preview
"I don't mind scoring against Chelsea," Walcott told the Daily Star.
"I've done well against them - they must probably hate me, to be honest. "I don't mind playing against Ashley either. I like playing against him.
"He is one of the best left-backs in the world and we have some very good battles against each other - in training as well for England.
"Maybe in the past few years I have had the edge on him. So I am sure when he sees all this he will be frustrated and he will probably want to kick the hell out of me, which is fine!
"He is doing fantastic at the moment and to be that great for so long is an incredible achievement and it is a great honour to play with him."
Let the games began.

I just see RDM trying to park the bus again, but some early goal would trigger the Opening. and the goals would flow

Re: Arsenal v Chelsea Preview
A big win is very optimistic. I think it'll be a closely contested game that can go either way. A lot has been said about Chelsea' weakness in midfield and in defence, but if they come and play a defensive game, I think we'll find it tough to score.
We shouldn't underestimate what a trio of Mata, Hazard and Oscar can do to our defence and even if Torres doesn't do well, they still have other means of scoring and players that can do something special out of completely nothing.
Nothing wrong with being confident going into the game, but underestimate Chelsea at your peril. I have a feeling we may slip up here.

I am in love with our team this year,We now have the right mixture of players, to go into this match with the confidence, we will outplay them and beat them good. There will be goals and the game will be won by our defense.

Wouldn't read much into that. Gil likes his reverse-jinxing.
Besides, I share the same feeling as Jay... there's a chance that Chelsea win this one as they didn't beat us in a while. It's just a strange feeling.

Great work sam
If we play like the way we did against City, we should comfortably win this. But obviously we won't since we are Arsenal.
Expecing us to dominate the possession, but their individual ability is very very good. Hazard can score/create a goal at will. So can mata. Jenkinson needs to continue his brilliant form.
I would start Mertesacker and Vermaelen at the back as well.
Arteta-Ramsey-Cazorla midfield.
Podolski-Gervinho-Walcott upfront.
Hoping for a win

No love for Diaby RG?
Anyway...my midfield would be the one that played against city, including Ramsey, with Podolski and Walcott exchanging positions upfront and confusing Chelsea's defenders.
Sadly, Gervinho just doesn't convince me.

Cmon Arsenal.....Do everyone a favor and beat this overrated team. I hope Gervinho isn't anywhere near the lineup, incredibly wasteful against City.

Re: Arsenal v Chelsea Preview
from General section..What's up with your avatar Gil?
It makes me want to punch it with all my might.
On topic: Sadly, Chelsea'll run rings around us. Hazard and co. will destroy the extremely immobile Mertesacker, while Gibbs starts impersonating Robben's workrate and forgets he's a defender.
Jenkinson's shocked with being linked with a call up to the English NT, so he'll transform into his old Sunday League self.
Halfway through the match, Vermaelen realizes shouting at teammates isn't enough at this level and leaves for Ajax.
Mannone's concentration declines as he spends his time onthe pitch doing his hair while Torres notches up a hattrick.
Lamps remembers what it feels like to be a midfielder and rapesthe average Cazorla, handsome yet sluggish Arteta and the stickman,Diaby.
Walcott gets trapped in Cole's pocket while Poldi accidentally puts on shoes for futsal and spends the evening shooting the ball at row Z.
Whoever's on the other flank is irrelevant since Azpiwhateverhisnameis will erase him from the pitch.
That's my realistic view on this match.
Rev's epic counter to Gils reverse jinxing..
