Essien is class, he needs to regain his fitness, Arbeloa was a beast today, Alonso didn't miss a single pass, Ronaldo showed that he is a very good dribbler, Varane will retire as one of the best CB's ever, Di Maria is the best classic-winger in the game, Marcelo is the best LB in the world, Pepe is a monster.

4-3-3 never works for us.

Re: Manchester City vs Real Madrid discussion
Well we dominated Man City with Essien and Khedira in a 4-3-3. But we looked more lively with the 4-2-3-1.

Re: Manchester City vs Real Madrid discussion
it will be interesting to see Mancinis tactical setup: 3 man defence or traditional 4231.
they really have to attack and press from the beginning. Silva & Toure would be absolutely crucial fo them

Re: Manchester City vs Real Madrid discussion
If he does play a 3 man mid, hopefully it isn't Essien, Khedira and Alonso.

Re: Manchester City vs Real Madrid discussion
I don't think there'll be a lot of changes for this match, the team almost picks itself. I hope Benzema keeps up his form, he's going to be a handful for Nastasic and Kompany.
Casillas
Arbeloa - Ramos - Pepe - Coentrao
Khedira - Alonso
Di Maria - Ozil - Ronaldo

Re: Manchester City vs Real Madrid discussion
I would prefer CalleGOAT to start over Di Maria tonight. Hes been impressive in his limited appearances and adds a bit more directness to the attack.
He can certainly offer something different as compared to Angel
