Real Sociedad is one of the three Basque clubs in La Liga. They are overshadowed by their rivals Athletic Bilbao who have caught the eye of all of Europe last year. This year Sociedad hope to do the same, however it wont be easy as most people predict another year of mediocrity and expect them to finish mid-table once again. Real have made several promising signings such as Carlos Vela, Chori Castro and have many promising youth. This year Sociedad hope to make a mark on La Liga and may the spirit of Vela be with you.

Re: Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D.
GOAT thread Rebano. Much respect
Also just for the titles sake, mind if you change it to the full name? Here: Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D.
Los Incios (The Beginnings)
Football or foot-ball reaches Gipuzkoa in the early years of the S. XX from England by the hand of the youth who had known or worked there while studying. The first reference to a "foot-ball game" in San Sebastian, 1902, the date on which football had also reached other locations gipuzkoanas as Irun. However the first club that no record is the San Sebastian Recreation Club in 1903 but was not the only club in the city existing since also were the Basque, the Hope, the Old Boys Fortuna ...
At first the colors of the San Sebastian Recreation Club were green and yellow, but in March 1908 and opened a new kit (white shirt, and blue initials SS in blue pants)
Un título para empezar (A Title to Start)
During these early years donostiarras performed very well but could not participate in the World Championships was not entered in the Register of Civil Society therefore, to participate in the Championship of Spain of 1909 was used to playing under the name of Club Cyclist entity whether it met the legal requirements, and under the name of Club cyclist came the first title in our history by defeating Espanyol in the final of Madrid by 3 goals to 1. Donostiarras alignment in the final was: Bea, A. Sena, Arocena, Arrillaga, Echeverria, Rodriguez, M. Sena, Lacort, McGuinness, Simmons and Birebén. Cycling Club's goals were scored by McGuinness twice and Simmons.

Re: Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D.
La Real played and won their first game at home today. They dominated the first half, but couldnt score. They hit the crossbar 3 or 4 times, but the attack was clicking well and they were smooth throughout. Then came the second half and immediately Celta pressured and soon enough they scored. Sociedad responded quickly with a goal from Aguirretxe set up by a Messi like Griezmann who dribbled through several players and waited for Aguirretxe to make the run into the box who was left alone by a defender trying to stop Griezmann. And finally the goal that brought the win came form a defensive error when Vela won the ball from at the edge of the box and sent in a weak cross where there were two Celta defenders, but they reacted too slow and Aguirretxe put the ball in the back of the net. A tough win for La Real, but a deserved one. Sociedad has a great attack and they should perform even better as the new players get accustomed to the team.

Literally a perfect performance by Sociedad with Inigo, Zurutaza and of course, Basque forward Carlos Vela terrorizing the Aragonese defence. Inigo is one of Espana's best fullbacks.

Messia, there also is what is called the "Greater Region" of Basque Country which comprises of Basque Country, Northern Basque Country in France (along with most of the Pyrenee) and Navarre as well.
Navarre is a separate province yet 100% in value and heritage.

Re: Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D.
Another complete dominant performance by Sociedad at the Anoeta so far. Atmosphere has to be the best in Primiera Liga at the moment. Superb performance by the team while Prieto has been an absolute visionary in this game as usual. Vela with his clinical brace is showing what a mistake it was for Wenger to let this gem of a player go. If Sociedad can convert this form away then a Europa League chance wouldn't be so unrealistic. GORA Euskadi.
