In regards to Pereira, he's very good. Calling him the best in Serie A struck me as a bit of an overstatement until I started looking at his competition.

The pickings are pretty slim, aren't they? I'd say he has a fair shot at being one of the best. Balzaretti and even Chiellini (when he plays there) are both in with shout. After that, the crowd thins a bit. De ceglie... is okay, but not great. Lack of competition has seen him in Juve's starting lineup. AC Milan... who even played there for them? Antonini, maybe? Nagatomo has his moments... Radu is usually solid. Armero has a legitimate case for it. Beyond that, I'm hardpressed to name you any LBs worth having.
