Not in the slightest. Which is one of the [many] reasons I'm adamantly opposed to his appointment, as you may have seen throughout this section.

How you could spend 2 or 3 years and upwards of/over 9 figures building a side with a certain kind of players to play a certain way, only to go out and hire a manager who plays a completely different style to that and has a completely different philosophy to what's been & being put in place at the club is an utter mystery to me, and only proves that the owner has no plan for CFC whatsoever and is just making things up as he goes along.

left wing, we got Hazard. Right wing, might be oscar or Moses. Both Hazard and Robben play a similar game, they cut in... well Hazard passes a lot better but its similar. Moses is similar to duff, in a way. (by the way no player is exactly similar but you get the point.)

Mata is a more creative player than Lampard IMO, but they do a similar job.I'm talking about Lampard in 2004-2006.

Essiens job is done by either Ramires or Oscar, we might need a bit more muscle compared to back then, but if they can keep posession, specially the attacking part of the team, they would do the job.

Makelele, Mikel... similar play style, but Mikel is miles behind. Infact I dont think anyone is out there as good as Makelele right now.

well mate, you can never have the exact type of a team anyways. I'm saying that its not that far off, if he wants something similar.

I'm sorry but you'd have to be utterly blinkered to think this team is anything like the one he had before. This squad has been built, at the directive of the owner, to play a free-flowing, possession-based game with small, technical players to not merely win, but to win with style. Mourinho is the antithesis of all of that. He prefers strong, traditional, disciplined center-backs, a midfield with steel and grit, and a big strong targetman leading the line, and will employ any tactics and any style necessary to get a result. I'm not sure if the entire Chelsea fanbase is suffering from amnesia, but their saviour's time at Stamford Bridge was characterised by a strong, physical style of play that excelled in defending and counter-attacking and ground out results every week, while boring everyone to death in the process.

If you think Mourinho is suddenly going to become this attacking manager playing fluid footy, keep deluding yourselves. He's played football one way his entire career and he's not about to change now.

I never said that, i said the players are similar. Managers have different styles, players adapt to it. Some can't do that and thats why some players go horribly out of form.. but the players back in 06' n now are similar in a lot of areas. I'm not saying they are exactly the same.

But I highly doubt that we are gonna be the same like back in 06' under Mou. He is different! He has more white hair now...
