Re: Song is suffering
Here we go again.
Oh by the way, Busquets spoke about Song too. I will put the quotes in a few minutes.
(Kiranr already dropped by Arsenal section to defend the Barca players words, by saying Arteta, Koscielny and Per Mertesacker are equally to blame for our signings this summer, but we will deal with that later.)

Re: Song is suffering
"Song is a very good player - young, a hard worker, with lots of physical power," Busquets said. "[Barca B youngster] Sergi Roberto is very well prepared, but I think he is better as an 'interior'. Barca lose a lot without Keita, both on and off the pitch. He was a much-loved player who gave us a lot of physical power. Another player in my position would be welcome, but either way I will keep working hard to win a place in the starting team."

“I know Song from seeing him play, and from playing against him,” said Andres Iniesta. “Technically he is very good and is also very strong physically too. If he comes it would be because he has the qualities to play here, there is little doubt about that, and we’d welcome him.”

I was not trying to defend them at all.
I just wanted to point out the double standards while you guys were criticizing Barca players.
If we follow this logic, i think i have the right to criticize Per and Koscielny too.

Barcelona C I mean Arsenal is always a good place to find backup players, Barcelona are even generous enough to supply City some times.

:p good point, but I highly doubt he'll leave especially with the sudden influx of new players.

Re: Song is suffering
The Cameroon international has become a transfer target for Barcelona since Seydou Keita departed from the club earlier this summer and a move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez failed.
New Barca coach Tito Vilanova has indicated Song as a good backup for Sergio Busquets in the defensive midfielder role.
Song has reportedly told close friends that he would be more than happy to join Barca and believes the move would further his career, it is also thought that the summer additions of Santi Cazorla, Lukas Podolski and Oliver Giroud have pushed Song out of the Arsenal first team with Arsene Wenger now looking to change his tactical plans to accomodate the new signings.
Catalan daily Sport.es have claimed that a deal has been agreed between Barca and Song but negotiations over a transfer fee with Arsenal are still ongoing.
It is thought that a deal could be agreed sometime next week.

Re: Song is suffering
This reaction of Arsenal fans is stupid to say the least. Have you ever seen a club player that will not say a good word about the clubs interest? When Arsenal wanted Cazorla, i bet a lot of Arsenal players had good words about him. That is normal, everyone does it!
Stop being childish! Well anyway, i think i am asking too much (not being childish) from you when you manager only hunts the kids from other clubs! Must be that Arsenal fans are all kids (see what i did here?)
BTW. Arsenal is my second club!

This was unnecessary. Although I agree that some Arsenal fans are overreacting. Not here but Twitter, Facebook etc.

Re: Song is suffering
@rubaNroots: I do not mean that way, that is why i put "(see what i did here?)". I just do not like this "suffering" comments every-time barca is interested in Arsenal player. I agree the Cesc deal was handled poorly by some of the Barca's players, but praising a possible signing is so common that any "suffering" comment sounds retarded.

I might be wrong but i think Song is too tall to play for Barca, maybe if he shaved his head he'd just sneak under the min height
