I'm going to be biased and say van Persie if he can stay fit for the majority of the season. But we all know that won't happen.
It's actually pretty hard to decide. Rooney, Torres and Tevez are my top three candidates. Hernandez is my darkhorse.

Adam Taking corners and set pieces + Carroll in the box = Ultimate domination in dead play
You may as well count our set pieces/corners/freekicks as penalties
I reckon we wont have a stand out scorer, but all Suarez/Carroll will contribute with 15 at least, Gerrard nabbing around 12, same with Kuyt and the new LW (Mata hopefully). Downing and Adam getting a lot of assists for Carroll

That said...my money will be on Tevez.
He is the only one in his team who really drags most of the scoring responsibility and he has a great injury record

I am going to place my bet on Torres. The other most likely candidate is Rooney, but it depends on whether he strikes a good partnership with Young!

RVP almost won it with only 23 games i think, if he stays healthy the rest will have trouble catching him, not being biased its the truth really.

Javier Chicharito Hernandez. This season, for half the campaign he was a sub but still managed to score a lot, next season he is gonna be a starter from the start so my money's on him. Somehow, someway he always manages to find the net (except against Barca)

well yeah ..but looking at his goalscoring stats even though its eredivisie shows that he is quite prolific and he has an eye for goal..
