Take out Kaka and add Khedira/Di Maria and it makes for a super sexy line up imo.

Alonso-Modric only works against scrub teams..

We probably wouldn't play it, but Di Maria would be a RWB and the 3 CB's would mean we're solid in defense if Alonso/Modric doesn't work. Pepe can always move to DM too.

That's Football Manager sort of stuff right there. Di Maria as a wing back, a right wing back for that matter. That's insane.

Alot of people want Gundogan but I think Modric is good for us. I appreciate a player with his skillset, personally want a midfield with him and another DM next season

That's what I've been saying now since around end of February. At first I didn't want him here and even thought he'd flop but he's definitely turned my opinion around.

Modric is the player with the most interceptions in the league for Real Madrid, with 96. Pepe is second with 76, Carvajal and Ramos have 75.

Modric averages 6 interceptions per game in the 16 games he has played this season.

Kinda makes sense considering Khedira has been out, and Alonso has been out. Modric has been the only consistent midfielder in the starting XI.

So I'm curious. A year and a half on, how do you guys feel about the Modric signing? Worth the money spent? Has he performed up to your standards? etc etc
