Perhaps, but Bielsa was a chip and a important one , he was someone who gave the board security with the players because as long as he was there, they all thought there is potential for a title, now....perhaps there's some room to sway them, and lower the asking price which after all....is the entire issue.

Less power the board has the less they can demand and this weakens them.

I don't want him to leave tho.

Bilbao are not a selling club. They are making profit each year and their players are the most loyal players as far as loyalty goes.

It turns out that the construction company is one of the main shareholders at Fundacion Athletic Bilbao and the Bilbao president is their honorary president for over a decade...

Bielsa didn't show up for training today and is allegedly negotiating his exit from the club.

I see him as a great coach that took Bilbao. Yes Bilbao. To two finals.

It's Bilbao. They players they had. The transfer policy. The squad depth.

Give guy some recognition. He lost to a good Atl. Madrid side. Simeone did a great job. And the next is Barca. C'mon who honestly believed he'd best Barca in a final.
