Ozil RIP - Page 2 Empty Re: Ozil RIP

Post by Bellabong Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:52 am

Okay peoples, stop saying özil was forced wide etc. Imma type this for the 5th time or so but Özil and Kroos exchanged places throughout the entire match, and you know what happened when Özil was central? Özil pressed Pirlo, forced him back then backed off and completeley ignored him and Pirlo played the pass that led to the goal.

The times Kroos was in the centre of the pitch Pirlo was struggling. Löw was not ballsy enough to say ok, Özil is not a great winger, but I want to keep Pirlo in check. Just drop Özil then and play Reus + Götze/Müller on the wings if the intention for starting Kroos was to shut down Pirlo and keep him there. Don't have Özil and him be dynamic and have periods where Özil is marking him because that's an opening wwhich Pirlo took.

Löw also got the defensive tactics completely wrong, RWO and Arq were discussing this in the chat, the fullbacks did not help out when Cassano/Ballotelli drifted, what is Hummels doing being pulled to the edge of the box? Apart from the fact that Özil never should have allowed the original pass come into being where was Boa/Khedira/Schweini who as DMs/FBs should be helping out defensively on the flanks when a 4-4-2 is employed in that fashion.

Özil is SS-Tier playmaker but the options to supply where none, Khedira's runs and combo's with him are a result of the normal options being unavailable. Podolski was lul, Kroos is not a winger although he would have a GOAT cross and Gomez needs the play to be stretched.

Ozil has finishing problems but he was by far Germany's best player last night. No idea what games you lot were watching.

Khedira was decent but you expect him to do well with the amount of space he was given.

Schweinsteiger didn't look fit and Kroos will never be an effective AM despite Idro's delusions.

Kroos really does have this static play about him that makes him a bit ineffective. Or maybe Italy did very well in covering his options. Either or, Ozil was indeed Germany's best attacking outlet yesterday along with Reus...

I missed most of the game but I see lots of people saying schweini wasn't good. Tbf he did come out and say he was injured and was putting off surgery until after the euros were done

I think he was still injured, but he said he was fit so that he wouldn't let his team down. Unfortunately it backfired big time as one could see.

Podolski wasnt bad at all yesterday. He created something every time he had the ball, whether it was a goalscoring chance or a corner kick. Schweini is obviously still not cully fit though and was awful, ans Kroos was invisi le besides one shot. Gomez also didnt do anything. Shouldve taken Kroos ans Gomez off in the second half. Podolski was actually Germanys best player only after Ozil and Khedira and did just as much as Reus.

What players on the bench are more talented than Poldi and how is his time over? He has roughly a goal every other game for Germany when played as a forward, and as a winger is still very dangerous and productive. I thinj the only change for Germany from now on should be Reus should atart over Muller. But who is better than Poldi thats on the bench? I would love to hear this.

if you are going to play with a tortoise as your striker then ozil will look like a flop all the time
gomez is just awful, doesnt move at all, cant make a run, cant anticipate a through ball...even a player with a combined skill of zidane + pirlo + ozil + xavi will flop if you have a tortoise like gomez as the striker Mad

I know it's huntsman so this comment isn't directed at him seeing as he doesn't make sense 100% of the time.

But seriously, the ability of people to either flip flop, or harshly judge player after 1 game here on goal legacy is just legendary, in easier terms...

Goal Legacy knee-jerking is legendary. If only I had a nickel for every knee jerk thread/responses.

Would Podolski play better on the right since he can cut in?

Podolski should be dropped entirely from the lineup.'

There are far better players than him sitting on the bench that deserve a chance ahead of him.

Reus and Goetze for starters.I would even start Mueller ahead of Podolski.

Ozil had 3 shots and two of them tested Buffon. He created a lot more than Kroos ever could if he played as an AM. Mesut was very effective when the ball was at his feet. Kroos can only imagine of going past players like that. He was easily one of the weak links last night in the first half. If you think Kroos will be better than Ozil as an AM then you're the one who's deluded mate and honestly, its not funny.

If passing % was everything, then Xavi would be by faaaaaaar the best midfielder seeing as he has the best % of all midfielders left in the competition and has had the most key passes of them as well but as we all know, Xavi at this tournament has not been as his best. So I wouldnt say that Pirlo was good just because his passing %.

We must've watched different games then. Poldolski was nowhere to be seen when Germany needed him. His touch was heavy, his movement was poor, couldn't get his footwork right and his passing was woeful. He looked utterly disinterested and gave up way before any of his teammates had from the looks of it.

I'm not prepared to say he should never start for Germany again, but with displays like this all tournament, he's grown far too complacent and just doesn't seem motivated at all like he did 2 years go. If I was an Arsenal fan and watch this guy over the past few weeks, I'd be a bit worried honestly.

Pass-Accuracy means shit. De Jong I heard has 94% Pass Accuracy in Club season & he is nowhere near creative. It depends on how safe or risky your passes are.

You'll managed to side step what I actually meant. I was just trying to show Kroos wasn't as effect as Messiah made him out to be. Pirlo easily came out on top last night.

Madrid fan base is just too large on Goallegacy, people would actually start to believe in their pathetic delusion comment just because the whole fans keep repeating thesame thing...

Pepe best CB

Coentrao best left back

Oezil better than Pirlo and thesame with Zidane.

I'm getting fed up of this people and thank goodness Bayern kicked them out of the champions league, otherwise they will be scrubbing every football fan on the floor, saying things like.

Casillas is the greatest keeper of all time, C.Ronaldo is better than messi, Oezil is the 2nd best player.

The world should thank Bayern from saving them from this deluded set of fans

I havent been here for a long time so I dont know about the other Madrid fans but posting that and calling us deluded? Dont you see the irony here? Around seven Bayern players in the first 11 of Germany and yet its the Madrid duo that carried them forward. I dont hate Bayern but this just shows how much you over rate your players.

You seem butthurt.
Casillas is great. I don't see the logic there?
Coentrao? Ehh we all prefer tend to prefer Marcelo
Pepe? When he isn't mentally insane then yes he can be ONE of the best.
Ronaldo? Played amazing for us hence the hype is justified.
Ozil only 23 and has put one some amazing performances.

And you think Madrid fans hype him? Your obviously are forgetting all the damn germans during the world cup...

Thesame Bayern that out-played Madrid home and away just a few months ago, where was Oezil, where was Khedirah

Madrid player only scored 1 goal and yet you say they carried the German team, you're so deluded you can't even see it.

How many assist and goals Bayern German players made and scored in the tournament..

even our leftback scored a striker like goal and yet your delusion won't allow you to remember that.
