Ok, i admittedly didnt know that R9 was a 98. Started playing fifa in 06. Just remembrr Dinho in 07 was a 91. Cant rrmember the 06 stats, but if R9 was a 98 then i understand Messi being a 94, but shouodnt be higher than 95 in my.opinion and Djnho shouodve been higher than a 91, like a 94-95 too. What was he rated in 05-06? Also, dont get so defensive. And Messi clutch? Yes he is to a point, buy that depends on what you consider Big games. Barca-Valencia or Barca-Bilbao i dont considrr big games, sorry. Theres a huge gap in quality. So what do you consider big games? Against United and Real hes always done well. Against every other big team.pretty much hes usually kept in check. But again, i dont want to get into this, its just a game, hut Messi (and Dinho) should not be higher than a 95-96

I find people overrate strength in FIFA, honestly. It's not a game breaker for me. I tend to prefer players with good positioning and intelligence to strength. It's easy enough to beat a strong player if you're well placed for a pass/throughball or interception/tackle.

This. I think the strength aspect favours FIFA 11, FIFA 10 and the likes more than FIFA 12.

I'm not mad about it or anything, in fact I hardly care, but 99/100 should be the absolute best player ever, shouldn't it be? While Messi is go(o)d, I think no player should really pass the 96/97 mark. Even if they have in the past...that was the past and they may have been overrating players (as they do).

There is a case to be made for 99/100 not being the best ever (read: it not being unreachable). But I do believe there should be some unreachable ratings, makes everything much easier to rate. That's why there is a 0 despite no one getting that rating. And I don't remember anybody under like...40.

Isn't the OVR rating just a result of how well they are rating in other aspects? can't imagine Messi being a 99 OVR, he hasn't improved from last season to this in any way imo, just as good as he was last season.
And the 99 OVR rating, isn't that only in FUT he's got it? highly doubt he would get it in the actual game. The OVR ratings hasn't been over 94 since '03 i think, so why would they start making insane ratings once again

How the hell is Benzema better than Messi lol, if you can use him right (albeit I need a very good connection or LAN) then he's pretty much unstoppable with that agility, ball control and quickness its so easy to create space and get into good scoring positions and his finishing is ridiculous.

Sure if connection isn't great and stupid arse impact engine fecks you over and you need to take a bounce from a defender, then Benz is better in that respect but nothing else.

Strength is so overrated by you lot lol, it's all asif you guys play by running in straight lines bouncing defenders off you all.

The Messi being 99 is a moot discussion though, since it's not gunna happen. He won't even be a 98. If they did, Fifa Ultimate Team would have no where to go with his ratings and that's not gunna happen, since it makes EA all of their money.

It's way easier to seal a player like Ronaldo and make him ineffective than it is vs Messi or Aguero that type of small player with amazing agility imo.

Ronaldo does get abused although its always the same one trick money move, with a 1-2 and try to get him clean through on goal.
