Just beat Arsenal 4-2 on penalties to win the community shield. Both ramsey and Gervinho tried to chip me and it went over :facepalm:

Borrowed my mates Fifa for the week and started manager mode. Chose Udinese, loaned Coutinho from Inter and Thiago from Barca, bought Susaeta from Bilbao. Then something amazing happened, Lyon, having sold Lisandro came in with a €31m for 80 rated Benatia. which I immediately accepted, and promptly bought Vertoghen and Rolando for a combined total lf €26m, cheers Lyon Razz

I was happy with my squad, and having sent scouts out to South America to look for talent I was satisfied. Then Di Natale dropped a bombshell on transfer deadline day, he wanted to leave, so I sold him to Madrid for €20m, then replaced him with Remy for €22m which I thought was a good deal, I did have a €25m bid accepted for Podolski, then I remembered his performance in the euros....

By the way, is it just me or are Nani, Snijder and Modric always the players always sold when you start a new manger mode game?

Won Italian Cup game vs Torino and drew 1-1 with Juventus on the opening day of the season with Thiago scoring a wonderful header.

Sneijder usually moves to Man City. Kaboul seems to go to Man Utd and Schweinsteiger to Real Madrid.

hey i wanted to ask are there any regions in the online mode?

or everyone plays with everyone? cause if thats so if someone plays from america against me wont the game be laggy? delay etc..

it tries to connect with areas close to you. For example with u it should be Europe only.

That is some uber crazy transfers, Blackburn especially. I see PES and FIFA don't differ when it comes to stupid transfers. In PES Gerrard joined Stoke and Rooney, Torres, Van Persie and Hulk joined Spurs :facepalm:

Decided to start a new manager mode, I had used Bilbao against a few mates in a tournament and thrashed them all. Bilbao have youth, skill, power and pace, the very combination my teams on PES are made of, perfect for swash buckling football, playing the ball on the ground at all times. Averaged, 5 goals a game, 21 shots, 17 on target with them over the course of the tournament, it feels as if the devs made them just for me.

As it is Bilbao I'm gonna limit myself to signing only Spanish players, so the likes of Isco are on my rader, and i'll only be scouting Spain for youth talent aswell. It's late so i'll continue pre-season tommorow, but looking foward to it.

Also, anyone else notice Iniesta suddenly go from 91 to 92 and become valued at €100m a few weeks after you first start a new game?

He is, but it takes so long for him to grow, it's ridiculous. Had him for about 4 seasons and he only went up to like a 67 or something.

I see Red has McEachran as well, he has an 86 ceiling and he grows quite fast. I once had a team with

That was my first manager mode team after about 3 seasons or so. I sold almost every old guard. Sold Drogba to United for £25M. Laughing

^I think thats the best strategy if you want a young player. Let their team grow them, then buy them. Seems to work better than the User Player Growth for the most part.

I've had no trouble with player growth in my side, but that's likely because I play them consistently. My team is made up of players with average ratings and high potential, and as they mature I sell them for more cash and buy another potential player.

Not Piazon, at least not until his 3rd season. First season or so was in a rotation. So yeah, that probably hurt his growth.

But some players who I've played constantly ie Ashley Richards the RB. I had him for 3 seasons about, starting basically every game and he's still only a 68.

Still has a far better growth system than Fifa11 so I can't really complain.

but yeah it's a good read. I'm mostly excited about better AI refereeing, and toning down the impact engine.

Continued my Bilbao save and played Real Madrid in the first day of the season. Lost 4-3 after being 2-1 up difference maker being Benzema coming on for Higuain and setting up the 3 madrid goals whilst playing with sprained ankle :bow:

Crazy tranfers as usual with Arsenal signing David Silva for €54m :facepalm:

To top it off, Messi just handed in a transfer request at Barca.

Yeah pretty much, makes it more realistic if I do that. Managed to sign Mario Suarez and Canella but had to sell Iturraspe because he didn't want to sign a new contract and with only 12 months left wasent worth risking keeping him. It is morw fun then I thought it would be but obviously just stucking to Spanish players means I will probably won't win the Champions league or La Liga for awhile, unless I sign people like Cesc and Iniesta. But just like I did Madrid I will give the big boys a hell of a game.

Have my eyes on Isco and Montoya so far, trying to get Thiago on loan from Barca aswell. Its good, people should give it a try.
