Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
I can say for certain but considering he has trained all week i would guess so...
Personally think it's mind games only Ben Arfa is unlikely to play really.
Not sure why they think Coloccini is a doubt he's 100% fit.

Frak me, I just removed both Cabaye and Collo from my team because of those injuries.....Are they definitely playing today???

Yeah, Colo definitely is and Cabaye i'm 99% certain is....
Trust me more than FF
We have Colo, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse, and Ba down as doubts....
If that was to case we wouldn't have sent the young players to the u21 game and left completely out of the squad.
Mind games tbh, although Ben Arfa probably wont play.

Half of my f*cking team is injured or doubtful ...There goes the first round. Funny thing is I have Ben Arfa as well, and it's already too late to make changes for matchday 1.

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
Our best player by a f*cking mile.
We lost 2 in our first 10 games and that was to Chelsea and Man Utd despite Pardew's shite tactics restricting him.
Said before he's the glue that holds together and brains that directs us etc etc etc.
and only won 2 of 11 games without him, losing 9.
A big reason why we finished 5th last season and why we can't win a game at the moment.
Thank f*ck he's back fit next week.

Marvin Martin has potentially ruined Cabayeès chances at the world cup, on the last day of the league, everything played for...disgusting, i am disgusted, absolutely unnecessary tackle. the guy was crying ffs...

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
How ironic, the player who Lille bought to replace Cabaye ruins his WC.
Puts an end to any hope of France doing well either, Cabaye isn't Pirlo or anything but they have no one else who dictate tempo.

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
exactly, they are royally screwed. Well, 3 DMs, 3 forwards, Mou football, and they can go far enough.

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
Benzema can be a good deep-lying playmaker. Or am I missing something?

Well yeah they can change the setup to make up for it, but i dunno if i trust Deschamps to do it.
Took him long enough to figure this one out

Blessing in disguise for France. They can now replace that scrub with a World Class player (Nasri) without any repercussions.

Yeah because playing two holding midfielders and Nasri as the AM worked sooooo well last time
Lol @ Nasri WC btw.

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
Nasri is not even sure to be part of the group because he hardly gets along with most players, so his chances to come in and to actually start are near non-existent.

Context.
That entire team apart from Benzema was out of form going into the Euros

Also the cheek of Gil calling him a scrub when Chelsea has a losing record against him

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
Think Diaby is definitely going now. Unless he gets injured
Marvin Martin though
Hope Cabaye makes it before the next season starts at least. Not heard how bad the injury is though

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
BEIN reported after the game that Cabaye is fine. The doctor of PSG said after tests at the hospital that... "nothing dramatic for Cabaye. He'll play the WC without a problem." Just a big knock.. out 2 weeks max. Nothing broken and nothing muscular. So you can all stop the bs.
If you actually saw what happened, Martin slid and his studs brushed on top of Cabaye's ankle. There wasn't a big impact and the ankle didn't buckle. Figured it was fine unless something was broken... and nothing was broken.

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
Here's the article stating that the PSG medical staff weren't worried... and this was before the tests made at the hospital that showed nothing broken and nothing muscular. Again, just a knock... 2 weeks max. He has a month for the WC lol.

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
I had read alarming comments on web .. I hope PSG medical is right
if French is on WC it's merit also of Cabaye.
For me MOTM against Ukraine in return match ( Deschamps benched him in first leg ) so he deserves to be in Brazil

Re: Is Cabaye the French Piggy?
PSG medical have to be right... they did the preliminary test at the stadium and then gave a further update when tests were done at the hospital. In fact, it's become such a non-story that you can't even find it on l'Equipe anymore

So it's all good. He returned to the stadium from the hospital after the game. Just a big knock and no danger to his WC participation. It will take a good 2 weeks for the ankle to be fine though.... big knock. It'll be a week for the swelling to go away and then a week of rehab work.
Martin is lucky. He was close to being exiled from France. Horrible tackle. Lucky that he hit Cabaye's ankle on an angle as opposed to straight on.
