Benz is from Algeria*. I think this thread is more about Sub-Saharan Africa than Northern Africa (would count more for Middle East pride for me).
Also, Balotelli was adopted from Ghana, so he counts IMO, despite him picking Italy. However, it would have been worth a lot more if he had actuall played for Ghana, lol.
*Edit; Said Tunisia before, bit of a brain fart.

Hahaha, no ones denying that, he's a freaking beast.
It's already been said but Andre Ayew is going to freaking beast soon.

Ajax' Serero I also expect to be a bit of a GOAT, and he is from South Africa.
He has been capped for them etc.
New though, so will take a while!

Its not about North or Subsaharan africa. Its about Benz and Balo claim France and Itlay more than africa. You can't choose France and Carry the torch for africa.

Even though Goateng is a Rossonero , i have to agree really . Not a chance it might be him
I guess Lukaku could be that man , but not in recent future. Toure or Newcastle's Cisse would suffice ,
as of now at least, can't think of any other.

Re: Who will carry the torch for Africa now?
NAAAA man, those guys cant shine for africa.Only the players who were born in africa and still play for acrican countries can shine for us. And I hate this dual citizen garbage that they have like frimpong played for england at youth level and can also play for ghana at international level..What the hell is that!!!
And that idiot boateng doesnt wanna represent his country anymore! what an idiot.

Black people aren't from Africa :vagi:
Must be from China that black people descent then .
Anyway , i thought it wasn't necessary for which NT they play , but obviously i was wrong , since you seem to take it into consideration , if i judge by Balotelli/Benzema comment .
I give you that , not Lukaku then.

Are Afro-Americans still Africans ? No because they have another cultural identity. they have been leaving in USA for too long. They even don't know africa. If some white guy goes to Africa and have a kid there and raises his kid in the same way most african do, then this kid would feel african and could be called african. it's not even about the color but the cultural identity. Benzema , Balotelli are not African , their parents are.
