Who will carry the torch for Africa now?
For so long Drogba and Eto'o were the two players in Europe who really represented African football, but with Eto'o now at Anzi and Drogba more then likely to leave Europe (or at least cahmpions league level sides) who will carry the torch from here on in?
Only big name African I can think of still playing for a top club is Yaya Toure, but he probably hasnt got too many years left in him either, im sure ive missed a few players somewhere though
Theres some good African players playing in smaller European leagues like Doumbia who could make the step up, Cisse and Ba are other options too

Tiote would have carried Ivory Coast to AFCON success if it wasnt for Gervinho bottling his penalty

I reckon for the next few years it will be Africa's finest, a genius footballer, and African player of the year:

I don't know about Ayew, but Asamoah is good, I'll agree with you, but his potential is GREATLY over-hyped. If he was anywhere near HALF what they were calling him just two years ago, he'd be one of the most wanted midfielders in Europe.
