Ronaldo isn't the only guy in our attack that you need to worry about. There are 4 or 5 of them... coming at you from every direction... Ask Adriano, Ask Mascherano, Ask Pique. This isn't Stoke City's attacking front men, Crouch and Jones. This is the real deal. They scored goals for fun last season... and they may have started slowly this season... but by the time they take on City, it will be a very different story.

Also Sergio Ramos didn't know how to shot on target from 11 yards... And few weeks later in euro's he scored a panenka. Yes, things change.
You're talking about a centre back taking a spot kick...
I'm talking about 90 minutes of football against the best defense in the champion's league last season. Not to mention that it's a record breaking side that was arguably Europe's best last year.

Lets face reality we are up against the English champs, the gladiators of the greatest league in the world, the peak of the African gene pool in Kompany , Toure , Balotelli , the closest things to Messi on the planet (Messi and Aguero) and possibly the best Spanish player in the last two Euros.

How can we legitimately expect to overcome such a force with defensive liabilities such as Ramos and Alonso and Arbeloa, unskilled hacks such as Khedira and Arbeloa, forwards who do not create , others who do not score, others who are lack all footballing awareness altogether.

Defeat is on the horizion.

I fear we will be reduced to Herrera tactics and the most we can hope for is a draw, or at the very least to be left proud in defeat and achieve a scoreline that would flatter our vastly inferior talents.
